3D MODELLING SOFTWARES

Solid Edge is a 3D CAD, parametric feature (history based) and


synchronous technology solid modeling software. Originally developed
and released by Intergraph in 1996 using the ACIS geometric modeling
kernel it later changed to using the Parasolid kernel.

3DVIA is a brand of Dassault Systèmes that is focused on the development of


3D authoring, publishing, and hosting tools for professional and consumer
markets.Founded in 2007.

Bryce is a 3D modeling, rendering and animation program specializing


in fractal landscapes.The name is taken from Bryce Canyon—a rugged region
with many of the same landscapes that were first simulated with the software.
Initial released in 1993.
Form·Z is a computer-aided (CAD) design tool developed by AutoDesSys for
all design fields that deal with the articulation of 3D spaces and forms and
which is used for 3D modeling, drafting, animation and rendering.

CATIA (an acronym of computer aided three-dimensional interactive


application, is a multi-platform software suite for computer-aided
design (CAD), computer-aided manufacturing (CAM), computer-aided
engineering (CAE), PLM and 3D, developed by the French company Dassault
Systèmes.Initial released in 1977.
Geomodeller3D (old name was 3DWEG) is a methodology and associated
software tool for 3D geologic modelling developed by BRGM over the last 15
years.

NX, formerly known as NX Unigraphics or usually just UG, is an advanced


high-end CAD/CAM/CAE software package originally developed by
Unigraphics, but since 2007[1] by Siemens PLM Software.
PTC Creo, formerly known as Pro/ENGINEER, is a 3D CAD/CAM/CAE feature-
based, associative solid modeling software.

SolidWorks (stylized as SOLIDWORKS) is a solid modeling computer-aided


design (CAD) and computer-aided engineering (CAE) computer program that
runs on Microsoft Windows. SolidWorks is published by Dassault Systèmes.
2D MODELLING SOFTWARES
AutoCAD is a commercial computer-aided design
(CAD) and drafting software application. Developed and marketed
by Autodesk, AutoCAD was first released in December 1982 as a
desktop app running on microcomputers with internal graphics
controllers.

DraftSight is a free, professional-grade 2D CAD product centered upon


an open business model. Available for download at DraftSight.com,
DraftSight provides users with a better way to create, edit and view
DWG files.Developed by Dassault Systems.
LibreCAD is a fully comprehensive 2D CAD application that you can
download and install for free. Developer(s) -LibreCAD community Initial
release 15 December 2011.

DESI-III is a freeware 2D CAD program running under the DOS


operating system. It was written during 1980 - 2001 by Hugo Mariën.

POWERDRAW
PowerDraw is a 2D vector draw application.
HYCAD is an user friendly 2D CAD program, green and small but
powerful. It can export multiple format files,such as BMP JPG PNG DXF
XMG WMF EMF DWG EPS SLD CGM SVG PDF etc. Developer: JiangJiang.

A9CAD is a general purpose two-dimensional CAD program. It supports


industry standard DWG & DXF drawing formats.
ANALYSIS SOFTWARES
ANSYS, Inc. is an American Computer-aided
engineering software developer headquartered south of Pittsburgh
in Cecil Township, Pennsylvania, United States.Developed in 1970.

NASTRAN is a finite element analysis (FEA) program that was originally


developed for NASA in the late 1960s by Stephen Burns of
the University of Rochester under United States government funding for
the aerospace industry.

VisualFEA is a finite element analysis program running on MS Windows


and Mac OS X platforms. The program is being developed and
distributed by Intuition Software, Inc. in South Korea, and is used chiefly
for structural and geotechnical analysis.Released in January 2000.
QuickField is a finite element analysis software package running
on Windows platforms. It is developed by Tor Cooperative, a Russian
firm under the name ELCUT and marketed outside Russia by Tera
Analysis under the name QuickField.Released in 1991.

Autodesk Simulation is a general-purpose multiphysics finite element


analysis software package initially developed by ALGOR Incorporated
and acquired by Autodesk in January 2009.
Abaqus FEA (formerly ABAQUS) is a software suite for finite element
analysis and computer-aided engineering, originally released in
1978. Developed by Dassault Systems.

Agros2D is an open-source code for numerical solutions of 2D coupled


problems in technical disciplines. Its principal part is a user interface
serving for complete preprocessing and postprocessing of the
tasks.Developed by University of West Bohemia in 2013.
DIANA (acronym DIsplacement ANAlyser) is a Finite Element
Analysis (FEA) solver developed and distributed by DIANA FEA BV
(previously TNO DIANA BV) and several other resellers
worldwide.Released in 1972.
