CHAPTER III
FINDING AND DISCUSSION
This chapter discusses the results of the data analysis that cover the
description of archetypal hero reflected in Harry Potter’s character in J.K
Rowling’s Harry Potter Heptalogy and some relevant research findings.
3.1 Findings
The data are taken from in J.K Rowling’s Harry Potter Heptalogy focus on
Harry Potter character. Not all utterances but analyzed only the utterances
involving archetypal hero are taken to answer the research problems.
3.1.1 Archetype in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone
a. Hero in the motif of all mythology

Searching a hero begins with the arrival of a letter from
Hogwarts. In this letter it is said that Harry had been accepted at
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It is means that
Harry was destined to learn magic at Hogwarts since he was born.
Harry will start driving to a dark world of magic and dangerous to
save him, without he knows it before.
2. The Epic

“You-Know-Who killed ’em. An’ then — an’ this is

the real myst’ry of the thing — he tried to kill you, too.
Wanted ter make a clean job of it, I suppose, or maybe he
just liked killin’ by then. But he couldn’t do it. Never
wondered how you got that mark on yer forehead? That
was no ordinary cut. That’s what yeh get when a powerful,
evil curse touches yeh — took care of yer mum an’ dad an’

Hagrid tells Harry how great he is. When an evil of wizard
name is Voldemort success to kill the great witches in the world
and he tried to kill Harry, but failed. Harry just a baby who does
not have any power before. This is show that Harry is the boy who
lived.

about you, of course — I got a few extra books for
background reading, and you’re in Modern Magical
History and The Rise and Fall of the Dark Arts and Great
Wizarding Events of the Twentieth Century.”
In the train Hermione met Harry. Hermione was very
surprised while she looks Harry. What amazed Hermione looked
directly at the figure of Harry Potter? Harry Potter is the figure
that told in the great book of magic that already read by her.
3. The Wondering

“Everyone thinks I’m special,” he said at last. “All

those people in the Leaky Cauldron, Professor Quirrell,

at all. How can they expect great things? I’m famous and I
can’t even remember what I’m famous for. I don’t know
what happened when Vol-, sorry — I mean, the night my
parents died.”
When he was talking with Hagrid in the Leaky Cauldron
Harry could not say anything other than the doubts him. Harry felt
he was just a kid that growing in muggle environment and that
every day does not know what is magic. Suddenly he was
confronted with the fact that he is famous, he is a man who
survived Voldemort's attack on the other hand he was not doing
anything. He feels wondering to himself at that time.

Harry turned this news over in his mind. He was

starting to get a prickle of fear every time You-Know-Who
was mentioned. He supposed this was all part of entering
the magical world, but it had been a lot more comfortable
saying “Voldemort” without worrying.
When reading the news and clarify the broken of Gringotts
wizard bank by a great Harry's thought a figure of fear on You-
know-How, but he did recognize that fleeting nothing to fear.

A horrible thought struck Harry, as horrible

thoughts always do when you’re very nervous. What if he
wasn’t chosen at all? What if he just sat there with the hat
over his eyes for ages, until Professor McGonagall jerked it
off his head and said there had obviously been a mistake
and he’d better get back on the train?

When the hat selection began selecting a first year student
dormitories, heart doubt Harry feeling. His mind wild thoughts
started to attack him. The possibility errors in the letter addressed
to Harry. The mistakes are made Harry back to the Dursleys. It will
be terrible for him.
b. Situational Archetype
1. The initiation

“SO WHAT?” Harry shouted. “Don’t you

understand? If Snape gets hold of the Stone, Voldemort’s
coming back! Haven’t you heard what it was like when he
was trying to take over? There won’t be any Hogwarts to
get expelled from! He’ll flatten it, or turn it into a school
for the Dark Arts! Losing points doesn’t matter anymore,
can’t you see? D’you think he’ll leave you and your
families alone if Gryffindor wins the House Cup? If I get
caught before I can get to the Stone, well, I’ll have to go
back to the Dursleys and wait for Voldemort to find me
there, its only dying a bit later than I would have, because
I’m never going over to the Dark Side! I’m going through
that trapdoor tonight and nothing you two say is going to
stop me! Voldemort killed my parents, remember?”
Harry, who is serving a period of time towards maturity
now realize how important he must be fight with Voldemort. For
the sake of parents who have died and to save the wizarding world,
Harry is required to fight against Voldemort. Harry would never

willingly that the stone fell into the hands of Voldemort without
doing anything.
2. The Task

“Well, that’s it then, isn’t it?” Harry said.

The other two stared at him. He was pale and his eyes were
glittering.
“I’m going out of here tonight and I’m going to try and get
to the Stone first.”
“You’re mad!” said Ron.
“You can’t!” said Hermione. “After what McGonagall and
Snape have said? You’ll be expelled!”
In this situation inevitably Harry should take the
philosopher's stone. The situation is forcing Harry to fight that is
not commanded duties. The tasks must be done by Harry without
any one ordered to Harry. Harry cannot wait something that
uncertain. Therefore, the courage led him to carry out the task of
taking the stone before Voldemort.
3. The Fall
Datum 1
From being one of the most popular and admired

people at the school, Harry was suddenly the most hated.
Even Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs turned on him, because
everyone had been longing to see Slytherin lose the House
Cup. Everywhere Harry went, people pointed and didn’t
trouble to lower their voices as they insulted him.
Slytherins, on the other hand, clapped as he walked past
them, whistling and cheering, “Thanks Potter, we owe you
one!” Only Ron stood by him.

Harry Potter is famous, a hope and everyone's expectations.
Harry saved Hermione from a troll who makes Gryffindor get extra
points and won the Quidditch versus Slytherin, now on be the most
hated person in Hogwarts. He has reduced the 150 number at a
time of Gryffindor for having violated the rules. He was very regret
for too much meddling. Now he is punished by Hogwarts and
punished by the environment whisper insults and curses.
4. The Unhealable Wound

Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall bent

forward over the bundle of blankets. Inside, just visible,
was a baby boy, fast asleep.Under a tuft of jet-black hair
over his forehead they could see a curiously shaped cut,
like a bolt of lightning. “Is that where — ?” whispered
Professor McGonagall.
“Yes,” said Dumbledore. “He’ll have that scar forever.”
“Couldn’t you do something about it, Dumbledore?”
“Even if I could, I wouldn’t. Scars can come in handy. I
have one myself above my left knee that is a perfect map of
the London Underground.
”Well — give him here, Hagrid — we’d better get this over
with.”
Harry got a scar when his mother tried to protect her from
Voldemort's attack. The power of love is able to protect Harry
Potter Lily from Voldemort attacks. Conversely, a protection from
Lily Potter make Voldemort lost his body. And Harry got scars in

the forehead like a flash of lightning. Lasting scars that cannot be
eliminated though. And will be owned by Harry forever.

It happened very suddenly. The hook-nosed teacher

looked past Quirrell’s turban straight into Harry’s eyes —
and a sharp, hot pain shot across the scar on Harry’s
forehead.
“Ouch!” Harry clapped a hand to his head.
“What is it?” asked Percy.
“N-nothing.” The pain had gone as quickly as it had come.
Harder to shake off was the feeling Harry had gotten from
the teachers look — a feeling that he didn’t like Harry at
all.
Once the scar feel hurt when Harry thought connecting to
Voldemort. When Snape looked Quirell’s turban and directly into
the eyes of Harry, Harry was feeling the pain at the former wound.
Harry still did not know why the scar of a sudden illness.

Harry did the best he could, trying to ignore the

stabbing pains in his forehead, which had been bothering
him ever since his trip into the forest. Neville thought Harry
had a bad case of exam nerves because Harry couldn’t
sleep, but the truth was that Harry kept being woken by his
old nightmare, except that it was now worse than ever
because there was a hooded figure dripping blood in it.
The scar feels ill when Harry was trying to remember his
nightmare recall. It is not just a nightmare, but dream of the
presence of a black hooded figure is Voldemort. You can be sure

that Harry felt the pain in his injured when his mind is connected to
the giver of the wound. Voldemort.

“I wish I knew what this means!” he burst out

angrily. “My scar keeps hurting — it’s happened before,
but never as often as this.”
“Go to Madam Pomfrey,” Hermione suggested.
“I’m not ill,” said Harry. “I think it’s a warning . . . it
means danger’s coming. . . .”
Now Harry felt that the scar was often ill. It's not just the
usual injuries that can be cured to a physician or physician.
3.1.2 Archetype in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secret
1. The Epic

Dobby leaned toward Harry, his eyes wide as

headlights.“Dobby heard tell,” he said hoarsely, “that
Harry Potter met the Dark Lord for a second time, just
weeks ago . . . that Harry Potter escaped yet again.”

The greatness of Harry Potter has been heard in all parts of
the world of magic. Last year Harry managed to take the stone
before Voldemort. It makes Harry Potter more famous for his
prowess. Harry was also heard by the greatness of the house elf.

sir,” he admitted, drying his face on the pillowcase. “But
mostly,sir, life has improved for my kind since you triumphed over
He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. Harry Potter survived, and the
Dark Lord’s power was broken, and it was a new dawn, sir, and
Harry Potter shone like a beacon of hope for those of us who
thought the Dark days would never end, sir. . . . And now, at
Hogwarts, terrible things are to happen, are perhaps happening
already, and Dobby cannot let Harry Potter stay here now that
history is to repeat itself, now that the Chamber of Secrets is open
once more —”

Dobby and the servant feel in mortal physical pain when
lord Voldemort glorious. That suffering makes dobby wants to save
Harry from bad plan of Voldemort. For Dobby Harry Potter is very
important. Because Harry was successfully break the strength of
voldemort.

“Right,” he said, sitting on Harry’s ankles. “Here is your

singing valentine:
His eyes are as green as a fresh pickled toad,
His hair is as dark as a blackboard.

The epic of Harry already has been sing. The poem
describes how great he is. Harry managed to defeat the Lord
Vordemort. He's quick to mention warriors.

“Well,” said Riddle, smiling pleasantly, “how is it that you

— a skinny boy with no extraordinary magical talent —
managed to defeat the greatest wizard of all time? How did
you escape with nothing but a scar, while Lord Voldemort’s
powers were destroyed?”
Harry prowess has also been acknowledged by the enemy.
Lord Voldemort. What a shame and amazed Lord Voldemort be

defeated by a baby who does not have any magic talent could
defeat the greatest wizard all the time.
2. The Wondering
Datum 1
Harry hesitated. He cast a wary eye around the sleeping

witches and wizards on the walls. Surely it couldn’t hurt if
he took the hat down and tried it on again? Just to see . . .
just to make sure it had put him in the right House —
Harry hesitated when he discovered his talent as a
Parselmouth. The hesitated in his self made Harry feel in
unconfident. Salazar Slytherin is also a Parselmouth. How could he
possibly inherit from the founder of Slytherin. He wanted to try
once again by wearing a hat of selection. Did he really put it in
Gryffyndor?
1. Unhealable wound
Datum 1
It was this scar that made Harry so particularly

unusual, even for a wizard. This scar was the only hint of
Harry’s very mysterious past, of the reason he had been left
on the Dursleys’ doorstep eleven years before. At the age of
one year old, Harry had somehow survived a curse from the
greatest Dark sorcerer of all time, Lord Voldemort, whose
name most witches and wizards still feared to speak.
Harry’s parents had died in Voldemort’s attack, but Harry
had escaped with his lightning scar, and somehow —
nobody understood why —

Voldemort’s powers had been destroyed the instant

he had failed to kill Harry. So Harry had been brought up
by his dead mother’s sister and her husband. He had spent
ten years with the Dursleys, never understanding why he
kept making odd things happen without meaning to,
believing the Dursleys’ story that he had got his scar in the
car crash that had killed his parents.
The fact that Harry had survived the attack black wicked
witch of the greatest of all time, Lord Voldemort. The old man also
died in the Avada kadavra curse, but Harry survived the lightning
bolt scar. In the next paragraph explained that Harry was raised by
his aunt who told Harry that it can scar from traffic accidents.
During his stay with the Dursleys Harry did not understand what
actually happened with his parents. The Dursleys tried to close the
magical world of Harry.
2. The Quest

And then, exactly a year ago, Hogwarts had written to

Harry, and the whole story had come out. Harry had taken
up his place at wizard school, where he and his scar were
famous . . . but now the school year was over, and he was
back with the Dursleys for the summer, back to being
treated like a dog that had rolled in something smelly.
In this paragraph explained that Hogwarts wrote a letter to
Harry to join and learn magic. Hogwarts has the ability to selection

their student since they were born. This seems destined to be
already in the candidate's life at Hogwarts student.
3.1.3 Archetype in Harry Potter and the Prisioner of Azkaban
a. Situational Archetype
Datum 1
Of all the unusual things about Harry, this scar was the
most extraordinary of all. It was not, as the Dursleys had
pretended for ten years, a souvenir of the car crash that had
killed Harry’s parents, because Lily and James Potter had
not died in a car crash. They had been murdered, murdered
by the most feared Dark wizard for a hundred years, Lord
Voldemort. Harry had escaped from the same attack with
nothing more than a scar on his forehead, where
Voldemort’s curse, instead of killing him, had rebounded
upon its originator. Barely alive, Voldemort had fled. . . .

In this paragraph explained that the scar Harry is something
extraordinary. The scar is a marker that Harry had dropped the
power Voldemort. Voldemort's strength has dropped a lot of great
wizards have now been destroyed by the forces exerted by Lily
Potter to Harry.
3.1.4 Archetype in Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire
1. The Epic

minister loudly, who was wearing splendid robes of black
velvet trimmed with gold and didn’t seem to understand a
word of English. “Harry Potter . . . oh come on now, you
know who he is . . . the boy who survived You-Know-Who . .

The greatness of a hero constantly heralded. His prowess
even been heard in all corners of the world of magic. When Harry
met new people, people immediately recognize Harry and greatness
that he never felt done.

there’s no countercurse. There’s no blocking it. Only one
known person has ever survived it, and he’s sitting right in
front of me.”
Black science teacher defense has explained the three
unforgivable curses. The curse can only be done by a great wizard.
Curse of the most violent and unforgivable is the curse Avada
Kadavra. If the curse is launched it will be directly affected by the
curse lifeless. But there is one person who managed to escape from
the curse, He is the Epic of Harry Potter.

When in the lake Ron and Harry saw a little girl taken
hostage as well. Harry waiting who is will save the girl. Without
thinking Harry also grabbed the girl and took her to the surface.
Curiosity saved others it is within Harry. Make it like a real hero.
2. The Love Story

Stewart Ackerley took off the hat and hurried into a

seat at the Ravenclaw table, where everyone was
applauding him. Harry caught a glimpse of Cho, the
Ravenclaw Seeker, cheering Stewart Ackerley as he sat
down. For a fleeting second, Harry had a strange desire to
join the Ravenclaw table too.
Harry's love story began in her fourth year at Hogwarts. He
began to feel the vibration of love as seen choc hangs. Girl
beautiful girl, a fifth grade student, and that's oriental-looking Cho
Chang. Harry appear strange feeling when Harry Viewing Cho

1. The Task

task. The tasks are to require the Triwizard champion to against a
strong dragon. And Harry managed conquered the dragon.

We cannot sing above the ground,

We’ve taken what you’ll sorely miss,
An hour long you’ll have to look,
And to recover what we took,
But past an hour — the prospect’s black,
Too late, it’s gone, it won’t come back.”
After successfully executing the first task, the hero still
must perform the following tasks. In the second task, Harry must
save the people he cares about. Harry must go to the lake filled
with magical beings.

“Maze,” grunted Krum.

“That’s right!” said Bagman. “A maze. The third task’s really
very straightforward. The Triwizard Cup will be placed in the
center of the maze. The first champion to touch it will receive
full marks.”

The courage of a hero is now tested in the third task.
Thirdly, there was the task of passing the maze that is complex and
full of trials. In the maze Harry finds his enemy bewitched Victor
Krum has become evil. The plants bewitched to continue blocking
Harry towards his goal. Harry confused with the groove that made
so complicated.
2. Battle Between Good and Evil
Datum 1
Voldemort was ready. As Harry shouted, “Expelliarmus!”

Voldemort cried, “Avada Kedavra!”
Battle between good and evil begins. Voldemort and Harry
are together issuing a spell to finish off his opponent. In the end
they will not let evil win. Harry managed to escape from the attack
of Voldemort and back to school. Voldemort's wrath for failing to
kill Harry.
3.1.5 Archetype in Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix
1. The Epic
Datum 1
“You know what, I’m not sure I want someone this stupid
teaching me,” Ron said to Hermione, smirking slightly. He
turned to Harry.

“Let’s think,” he said, pulling a face like Goyle concentrating.

“Uh . . .first year — you saved the Stone from You-Know-Who.”
“But that was luck,” said Harry, “that wasn’t skill —”
“Second year,” Ron interrupted, “you killed the basilisk and
destroyed Riddle.”
“Yeah, but if Fawkes hadn’t turned up I —”
“Third year,” said Ron, louder still, “you fought off about a
hundred dementors at once —”
“You know that was a fluke, if the Time-Turner hadn’t —”
“Last year,” Ron said, almost shouting now, “you fought off
You- Know-Who again —”

The greatness of a hero has been widely believed by
everyone. Her friends believe that a hero is able to provide lessons
about what heroes do to save the world.
2. The Wondering

“Listen to me!” said Harry, almost angrily, because Ron and

Hermione were both smirking now. “Just listen to me, all right?
It sounds great when you say it like that, but all that stuff was
luck — I didn’t know what I was doing half the time, I didn’t
plan any of it, I just did whatever I could think of, and I nearly
always had help —”
Conviction hearing his friends feel hesitant hero in him. The
hero feels the events that have passed from death itself are just a
sheer luck.

For nearly five years the thought of his father had been a source
of comfort, of inspiration. Whenever someone had told him he

longer. The hero has to know how to treat her evil father.
3. The Love Story

“Hello, Harry!”
It was Cho Chang and what was more, she was on her own
again.
This was most unusual: Cho was almost always surrounded by a
gang of giggling girls; Harry remembered the agony of trying to
get her by herself to ask her to the Yule Ball.

In the fifth book of love stories retold continuation of a
hero. When he saw the figure of Cho Chang Harry always get a
strange feeling ready to explode.

And yet, he thought, as they joined the queue lining up

outside Snape’s classroom door, she had chosen to come
and talk to him, hadn’t she? She had been Cedric’s
girlfriend; she could easily have hated Harry for coming
out of the Triwizard maze alive when Cedric had died, yet
she was talking to him in a perfectly friendly way, not as
though she thought him mad, or a liar, or in some horrible
way responsible for Cedric’s death. . . . Yes, she had
definitely chosen to come and talk to him, and that made
the second time in two days . . . and at this thought, Harry’s
spirits rose. Even the ominous sound of Snape’s dungeon
door creaking open did not puncture the small, hopeful

bubble that seemed to have swelled in his chest. He filed

into the classroom behind Ron and Hermione and followed
them to their usual table at the back, ignoring the huffy,
irritable noises now issuing from both of them
Vacillating feeling has been felt by Harry. Harry had
realized that the girl he loved is the former lover of a friend who
had been killed in the same incident with him.

“Ginny used to fancy Harry, but she gave up on him

months ago. Not that she doesn’t like you, of course,” she
added kindly to Harry while she examined a long black-
and-gold quill.
A hero, it will always be admired by many girls. But a hero
has her own dreams.

Cho made a funny noise halfway between a sob and

a laugh. She was even nearer him now. He could have
counted the freckles on her nose.
“I really like you, Harry.”
He could not think. A tingling sensation was spreading
throughout him, paralyzing his arms, legs, and brain.
She was much too close. He could see every tear clinging to
her eyelashes. . . .

Finally Harry knew that she liked her dreams. The girl was
expressing his heart to Harry.

Harry dreamed he was back in the D.A.

room. Cho was accusing him of luring her there
under false pretenses; she said that he had promised
her a hundred and fifty Chocolate Frog cards if she
showed up. Harry protested. . . . Cho shouted,
“Cedric gave me loads of Chocolate Frog cards,
look !” And she pulled out fistfuls of cards from
inside her robes and threw them into the air, and
then turned into Hermione, who said, “You did
promise her, you know, Harry. . . . I think you’d
better give her something else instead. . . . How
about yourFirebolt?” And Harry was protesting
that he could not give Cho his Firebolt because
Umbridge had it, and anyway the whole thing was
ridiculous, he’d only come to the D.A. room to put
up some Christmas baubles shaped like Dobby’s
head. . . .
After the incident in the DA that makes the hero very
excited. A girl has to kiss her and express his heart. A hero had a
strange dream. Generated dream of what we think of it before bed
and carried up into the dream.

By six o’clock that evening, however, even the glow

of having successfully asked out Cho Chang was
insufficient to lighten the ominous feelings that intensified
with every step Harry took toward Snape’s office.
So happy, Harry was success to invite Cho Chang on date.
Harry could momentarily forget his suffering met with Professor
Snape.

were unrelated to what was happening to him at the time,
which were always accompanied by a particularly painful
twinge from his scar. He had the horrible impression that
he was slowly turning into a kind of aerial that was tuned in

now dreaming about walking down the corridor toward the
entrance to the Department of Mysteries almost every
night, dreams that always culminated in him standing
longingly in front of the plain black door.
The scar was often sick when the hero begins to dream
about him and the prince of darkness. The wound will not be healed
by the healer or physician in the world of magic.

has lasted. The Hero finally meet in a place to hide forecast. His
meeting with the prince of darkness makes a dramatic battle.

Voldemort raised his wand and sent another jet of

green light at Dumbledore, who turned and was gone in a
whirling of his cloak; next second he had reappeared
behind Voldemort and waved his wand toward the
remnants of the fountain; the other statues sprang to life
too. The statue of the witch ran at Bellatrix, who screamed
and sent spells streaming uselessly off its chest, before it
dived at her, pinning her to the floor. Meanwhile, the
goblin and the house-elf scuttled toward the fireplaces set
along the wall, and the one-armed centaur galloped at
Voldemort, who vanished and reappeared beside the pool.
The headless statue thrust Harry backward, away from the

fight, as Dumbledore advanced on Voldemort and the

golden centaur cantered around them both.
The battle between good and evil has now raised his wand
for another attack. Flash of light from each point opponent's stick,
respectively. The battle between good and lasts a very fierce.

Another jet of green light flew from behind the

silver shield. This time it was the one-armed centaur,
galloping in front of Dumbledore, that took the blast and
shattered into a hundred pieces, but before the fragments
had even hit the floor, Dumbledore had drawn back his
wand and waved it as though brandishing a whip. A long
thin flame flew from the tip; it wrapped itself around
Voldemort, shield and all. For a moment, it seemed
Dumbledore had won, but then the fiery rope became a
serpent, which relinquished its hold upon Voldemort at
once and turned, hissing furiously, to face Dumbledore.

clashing spells to paralyze each other.

annoyance as she walked away, her long red hair dancing
behind her; he had become so used to her presence over the
summer that he had almost forgotten that Ginny did not
hang around with him, Ron, and Hermione while at school.

Dean, and was sure that Ron would consider it base

could not help himself talking to Ginny, laughing with her,
walking back from practice with her; however much his

get her on her own. It would have been ideal if Slughorn
had given another of his little parties, for Ron would not be
around — but unfortunately, Slughorn seemed to have
given them up. Once or twice Harry considered asking for
Hermione’s help, but he did not think he could stand seeing
the smug look on her face; he thought he caught it
sometimes when Hermione spotted him staring at Ginny or
laughing at her jokes. And to complicate matters, he had
the nagging worry that if he didn’t do it, somebody else was
sure to ask Ginny out soon: He and Ron were at least
agreed on the fact that she was too popular for her own
good.
The war is still going on in Harry's mind. Harry did not
know what to do. But Harry wanted Ginny into his date.

toward him; she had a hard, blazing look in her face as she
threw her arms around him. And without thinking, without
planning it, without worrying about the fact that fifty people

apart. The room had gone very quiet. Then several people
wolf-whistled and there was an outbreak of nervous

Harry began to miss Ginny. Harry realized that he saw the
robber map to ensure that Ginny okay inside Hogwarts.

Harry moved an old cushion into the tent mouth and
sat down, wearing all the sweaters he owned but even so,
still shivery. The darkness deepened with the passing hours
until it was virtually impenetrable. He was on the point of
taking out the Marauder’s Map, so as to watch Ginny’s dot
for a while, before he remembered that it was the
Christmas holidays and that she would be back at the
Burrow.

Harry remembered Ginny. Harry opened the map and do
not see the robber trace times Ginny. He realized that this
Christmas, so Ginny definitely return to The Burrow.

Harry crossed to the window on the far side of the
room. He could see a stream, a thin, glittering ribbon lying
far below them at the base of the hill. They were very high
up; a bird fluttered past the window as he stared in the
direction of the Burrow, now invisible beyond another line
of hills. Ginny was over there somewhere. They were closer
to each other today than they had been since Bill and
Fleur’s wedding, but she could have no idea he was gazing
toward her now, thinking of her. He supposed he ought to
be glad of it; anyone he came into contact with was in
danger, Xenophilius’s attitude proved that.
So close to the Burrow reminded Harry to his girlfriend
Ginny. Ginny will save in The Burrow.

Harry’s mouth fell open. Right behind Lee Jordan

came Harry’s old girlfriend, Cho Chang. She smiled at him.
When returning to Hogwarts, Harry still see Cho Chang
seductive smile. Cho Chang is smiling at him.

fiercely, “No, Luna will take Harry, won’t you, Luna?”
“Oooh, yes, I’d like to,” said Luna happily, and
Cho sat down again, looking disappointed.

3. The Search

“And the more I’ve read about them,” said

Hermione, “the more horrible they seem, and the less I can
believe that he actually made six. It warns in this book how
unstable you make the rest of your soul by ripping it, and
that’s just by making one Horcrux!”
The knowledge of what they are looking for will be more
obvious. Now Hermione was reading a book about the Secrets of
the Darkest Art; which expand their knowledge of Horcrux. Now
they must find five Horcrux conscious again.

“What’s the matter?”

“R.A.B. I think I’ve found him.”
There was a gasp, and then Hermione ran back up the
stairs.
“In your mum’s letter? But I didn’t see —”
Harry shook his head, pointing at Regulus’s sign. She read
it, then clutched Harry’s arm so tightly that he winced.
The Instructions to carrying a Horcrux has been discovered
by accident. He is Regulus Black Acturus and he also is the
younger brother of Sirius Black.

“Kreacher, I am going to ask you to do something,”

said Harry. He glanced at Hermione for assistance. He
wanted to give the order kindly, but at the same time, he
could not pretend that it was not an order. However, the
change in his tone seemed to have gained her approval:
She smiled encouragingly.
After getting instructions on Harry R.A.B immediately
asked Kreacher as house elf for help to find Mundungus who has
stolen a Horcrux.
Datum 4
“Tomorrow?” repeated Hermione. “You aren’t serious,

Harry?”
“I am,” said Harry. “I don’t think we’re going to be much
better prepared than we are now even if we skulk around
the Ministry entrance for another month. The longer we put
it off, the farther away that locket could be. There’s already
a good chance Umbridge has chucked it away; the thing
doesn’t open.”
The real horcrux quest has begun. Harry's was planning to
find as soon as possible the horcrux.

There were other Horcruxes out there somewhere, but he

did not have the faintest idea where they could be. He did
not even know what all of them were. Meanwhile he was at
a loss to know how todestroy the only one that they had
found, the Horcrux that currently lay against the bare flesh
of his chest. Curiously, it had not taken heat from his body,
but lay so cold against his skin it might just have emerged
from icy water. From time to time Harry thought, or

perhaps imagined, that he could feel the tiny heartbeat

ticking irregularly alongside his own.
In his search he felt so desperate when it did not find the
instructions hereinafter Horcrux.

As Dumbledore had told Harry that he believed

Voldemort had hidden the Horcruxes in places important to
him, they kept reciting, in a sort of dreary litany, those
locations they knew that Voldemort had lived or visited.
The orphanage where he had been born and raised;
Hogwarts, where he had been educated; Borgin and
Burkes, where he had worked after completing school; then
Albania, where he had spent his years of exile: These
formed the basis of their speculations.
To search for the horcrux Harry tried to remember the
instructions given by Dumbledore.

“Didn’t I ask you to stop saying that?”

“Fine! The snake is usually with You-Know-Who —
happy?”
“Not particularly.”
“I can’t see him hiding anything at Borgin and Burkes,”
said Harry, who had made this point many times before, but
said it again simply to break the nasty silence. “Borgin and
Burke were experts at Dark objects, they would’ve
recognized a Horcrux straightaway.”
Hypothesis about a Horcrux in Borgin and Burkes now has
emerged. Harry still kept thinking about the possibilities.

Even without any new ideas, they continued to move

through the countryside, pitching the tent in a different
place each night for security. Every morning they made
sure that they had removed all clues to their presence, then
set off to find another lonely and secluded spot, traveling by
Apparition to more woods, to the shadowy crevices of cliffs,
to purple moors, gorse-covered mountainsides, and once a
sheltered and pebbly cove. Every twelve hours or so they
passed the Horcrux between them as though they were
playing some perverse, slow-motion game of pass-the-
parcel, where they dreaded the music stopping because the
reward was twelve hours of increased fear and anxiety.
Despondently to solve the horcrux quest brought them to
the orphanage where the Dark Lord grows. However, they did not
find anything other than writing that tells that the orphanage was
torn down many years ago.

Harry stooped, pretending he had not seen, and

picked up the broken Horcrux. Ron had pierced the glass in
both windows: Riddle’s eyes were gone, and the stained
silk lining of the locket was smoking slightly. The thing that
had lived in the Horcrux had vanished; torturing Ron had
been its final act
.
After finding the sword of Godric Gryffindor, Ron stabs the
Horcrux with the sword.

“The ring, the ring that became the Horcrux,

Marvolo Gaunt said it had the Peverell coat of arms on it! I
saw him waving it in the bloke from the Ministry’s face, he
nearly shoved it up his nose!”
The ring turned out great-grandfather was Lord Voldemort
Horcrux was destroyed by Professor Dumbledore.

He had his answer ready.

“But you said it, Hermione! You’ve got to find out about
them for yourself! It’s a Quest!”
Harry realizes that this is a puzzle that must be solved.

The goblin made no sign of encouragement, but

continued to frown at Harry as though he had never seen
anything like him.
“I need to break into a Gringotts vault.”
To find a horcrux Harry asked for help from goblins. And
with all the risks that would be faced.

How long would it be before Voldemort knew that

they had broken into the Lestranges’ vault? How soon
would the goblins of Gringotts notify Bellatrix? How
quickly would they realize what had been taken? And then,
when they discovered that the golden cup was missing?

Voldemort would know, at last, that they were hunting

Horcruxes. . . .
Prince of darkness is finally known what Harry's been
looking for. The Prince was furious because his Horcrux hunt
Harry.

“There’s something we need to find,” Harry said.

“Something
— something that’ll help us overthrow You-Know-
Who. It’s
here at Hogwarts, but we don’t know where. It
might have belonged to Ravenclaw. Has anyone
heard of an object like that? Has anyone ever come
across something with her eagle on it, for instance?”
After successfully destroying the locket, Harry returns to
Hogwarts and try to find another horcrux. Harry got a hint that the
next horcrux is something valuable from Ravenclaw.

“Time’s running out, Voldemort’s getting nearer.

Professor, I’m acting on Dumbledore’s orders, I
must find what he wanted me to find! But we’ve got
to get the students out while I’m searching the castle
— it’s me Voldemort wants, but he won’t care
about killing a few more or less, not now —” not
now he knows I’m attacking Horcruxes, Harry
finished the sentence in his head.

The condition is more complicated in Hogwarts. The prince
of darkness is getting closer and Harry still has not found Horcrux.
But he had to keep looking at the chaos in the castle.

“Nick, you’ve got to help me. Who’s the ghost of

Ravenclaw Tower?” Nearly Headless Nick looked
surprised and a little offended. “The Gray Lady, of course;
but if it is ghostly services you. require — ?”
The investigation to find is being conducted by Harry's
Horcrux. He tried to ask the ghosts to find the lost diadem of
hundreds of years ago.

“You’re the Gray Lady?”

She nodded but did not speak.
“The ghost of Ravenclaw Tower?”
“That is correct.”
Her tone was not encouraging.
“Please: I need some help. I need to know anything you can
tell me about the lost diadem.”
Finally, Harry meets the ghost of Ravenclaw tower. The
ghost turned out to be the son of Rowena Ravenclaw one of the
founders of Hogwarts. Harry was immediately asked about the lost
diadem.

Generations of students had failed to find the diadem; that

suggested that it was not in Ravenclaw Tower — but if not there,
where? What hiding place had Tom Riddle discovered inside
Hogwarts Castle, that he believed would remain secret forever?
The loss of the horcrux for centuries made Harry a little
give in to find the lost diadem.
Datum 19
He knew, at last, where the Horcrux sat waiting for

him. . . . Tom Riddle, who confided in no one and
operated alone, might have been arrogant enough to
assume that he, and only he, had penetrated the deepest
mysteries of Hogwarts Castle. Of course, Dumbledore and
Flitwick, those model pupils, had never set foot in that
particular place, but he, Harry, had strayed off the beaten
track in his time at school — here at last was a secret he
and Voldemort knew, that Dumbledore had never
discovered —
Like as solving mysteries, Harry finally managed to find
the instructions. He already knows where the Horcrux is located.

“I know what the diadem looks like, and I know

where it is,” said Harry, talking fast. “He hid it exactly
where I hid my old Potions book, where everyone’s been
hiding stuff for centuries. He thought he was the only one to
find it. Come on.”
It turns out that the diadem was in place all the hidden
items, in the castle. It is increasingly clear instructions. Harry

promptly notifies Ron and Hermione and immediately went to look
for.

He pulled the diadem from his wrist and held it up.

It was still hot, blackened with soot, but as he looked at it
closely he was just able to make out the tiny words etched
upon it: Wit beyond measure is man’s greatest treasure.
After finally through obstacles Ravenclaw's diadem on

4. The Escape

And then at last, by the combined force of their

spells and the dragon’s brute strength, they had blasted
their way out of the passage into the marble hallway.
Goblins and wizards shrieked and ran for cover, and finally
the dragon had room to stretch its wings: Turning its
horned head toward the cool outside air it could smell
beyond the entrance, it took off, and with Harry, Ron, and
Hermione still clinging to its back, it forced its way through
the metal doors, leaving them buckled and hanging from
their hinges, as it staggered into Diagon Alley and
launched itself into the sky.
After successfully entering Gringotts and take what they are
looking for, Harry, Ron, and Hermione escape from Gringotts.

Harry opened his eyes. He was lying again on the

camp bed in
Ron’s dingy attic room. The sun had not yet risen
and the room was still shadowy. Pigwidgeon was
asleep with his head under his tiny wing. The scar
on Harry’s forehead was prickling.
Scars are increasingly perceived by Harry stabbed. The scar
marks the connection of mind Prince Harry to darkness.

Harry had given a cry of pain: His scar had burned

again as something flashed across his mind like a bright
light on water. He saw a large shadow and felt a fury that
was not his own pound through his body, violent and brief
as an electric shock.
Harry Scar increasingly felt sick when the Prince of

Darkness is nearby.

The pain in his scar was reaching a peak, burning

as it had done in the garden of the Burrow. Faintly he
heard Hermione say, “I don’t want to be on my own. Could
we use the sleeping bags I’ve brought and camp in here
tonight?”
Harry's scar felt tremendous pain Harry. It looks like it
scars above his head.

He stood up.At once, Kreacher hurried forward.
Feels the pain Kreacher was worrying his employer.

His scar was starting to prickle again. He was

afraid that he was making it happen by having these
thoughts, and tried to direct them into another channel. He
thought of poor Kreacher, who had expected them home
and had received Yaxley instead. Would the elf keep silent
or would he tell the Death Eater everything he knew?
Harry wanted to believe that Kreacher had changed toward
him in the past month, that he would be loyal now, but who
knew what would happen? What if the Death Eaters
tortured the elf? Sick images swarmed into Harry’s head
and he tried to push these away too, for there was nothing
he could do for Kreacher: He and Hermione had already
decided against trying to summon him; what if someone
from the Ministry came too? They could not count on elfish
Apparition being free from the same flaw that had taken
Yaxley to Grimmauld Place on the hem of Hermione’s
sleeve.
In desperation Harry's scar hurt again. The hero tried to
divert it to other things. But after the negative image was
reappears.

And his scream was Harry’s scream, his pain was

Harry’s pain . . . that it could happen here, where it had
happened before . . . here, within sight of that house where
he had come so close to knowing what it was to die . . . to
die. . . . The pain was so terrible . . . ripped from his body. .
. . But if he had no body, why did his head hurt so badly; if
he was dead, how could he feel so unbearably, didn’t pain
cease with death, didn’t it go . . .

that they had moments, seconds before Voldemort was with them.

Voldemort was getting there too. Harry understood and yet
did not understand. His instinct was telling him one thing,

Wrath of the prince of darkness makes Harry felt his scar
seemed stab stabbed. The more anger and also pain near the scar.

Harry thought fast, his scar still prickling, his head

threatening to split again. Dumbledore had warned him against
telling anyone but Ron and Hermione about the Horcruxes. Secrets
and lies, that’s how we grew up, and Albus . . . he was a natural. . .
. Was he turning into Dumbledore, keeping his secrets clutched to
his chest, afraid to trust? But Dumbledore had trusted Snape, and
where had that led? To murder at the top of the highest tower . . .
Harry began to feel confused. His scar was hurting again. He
was confused whether all secrets should be disclosed.

Harry’s scar scorched again: For a moment the Room of

Require ment swam before him, and he saw instead the dark earth
soaring beneath him and felt the great snake wrapped around his
shoulders. Voldemort was flying again, whether to the

underground lake or here, to the castle, he did not know: Either

way, there was hardly any time left.

2. The Initiation

As Harry’s birthday dinner would have stretched

the Burrow’s kitchen to breaking point even before the
arrival of Charlie, Lupin, Tonks, and Hagrid, several tables
were placed end to end in the garden. Fred and George
bewitched a number of purple lanterns, all emblazoned
with a large number 17, to hang in midair over the guests.
Thanks to Mrs. Weasley’s ministrations, George’s wound
was neat and clean, but Harry was not yet used to the dark
hole in the side of his head, despite the twins’ many jokes
about it.

Now Harry is 17 years old. It is a sign that he was heading
for his maturity. Harry is now free to do magic wherever located.
And of course, given his mother's protection spell will soon be
destroyed.

Dumbledore’s betrayal was almost nothing. Of

course there had been a bigger plan; Harry had simply
been too foolish to see it, he realized that now. He had
never questioned his own assumptionthat Dumbledore
wanted him alive. Now he saw that his life span had always

Horcruxes. Dumbledore had passed the job of destroying
them to him, and obediently he had continued to chip away
at the bonds tying not only Voldemort, but himself, to life!
How neat, how elegant,not to waste any more lives, but to
give the dangerous task to the boy who had already been
marked for slaughter, and whose death would not be a
calamity, but another blow against Voldemort
.
Harry realized that he was the one who had to carry out the
mandate of Dumbledore. He is the hero, the chosen and the boy
who live. Dumbledore believes that Harry is the right person to
carry out this task.

The creature behind them jerked and moaned, and Harry

and Dumbledore sat without talking for the longest time yet. The
realization of what would happen next settled gradually over
Harry in the long minutes, like softly falling snow.
“I’ve got to go back, haven’t I?” “That is up to you.” “I’ve got a
choice?”
“Oh yes.” Dumbledore smiled at him.

“We are in King’s Cross, you say? I think that if you decided not to
go back, you would be able to . . . let’s say . . . board a train.”
Harry realized that he was the one who had to carry out the
mandate of Dumbledore. He is the Hero, the chosen and the boy
who live. Dumbledore believes that Harry is the right person to
carry out this task.

“I don’t want anyone else to try to help,” Harry said

loudly, and in the total silence his voice carried like a trumpet call.
“It’s got to be like this. It’s got to be me.”
Harry will now have to fight alone. Because he has realized
that he should have to fight against the prince of darkness.
3. The Task

“I know.” Lupin hesitated.

“I’ll understand if you can’t confirm this, Harry, but the
Order is under the impression that Dumbledore left you a
mission.”
Harry must complete the assigned task Dombledore.

“Oh, don’t I?” said Aberforth quietly. “You don’t think I
understood my own brother? Think you knew Albus better than I

with exhaustion and from the surfeit of food and wine. “It’s . . . he
left me a job.”
A conversation with Albeforth make Harry insists that he
was explaining the secret of his brother Albus task.

“I was,” said Aberforth. “The Order of the Phoenix is

finished. You-Know-Who’s won, it’s over, and anyone who’s
pretending different’s kidding themselves. It’ll never be safe for
you here, Potter, he wants you too badly. So go abroad, go into
hiding, save yourself. Best take these two with you.” He jerked a
thumb at Ron and Hermione.
“They’ll be in danger long as they live now everyone knows
they’ve been working with you.”
“I can’t leave,” said Harry. “I’ve got a job —”
“Give it to someone else!”
“I can’t. It’s got to be me, Dumbledore explained it all —”
“Oh, did he now? And did he tell you everything, was he
honest with you?”
Harry tried to convince Albeforth who still do not believe
that Harry has the task of Dumbledore. Harry was sure that he was
able to complete tasks assigned by Dumbledore.

“Very well. He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named is

coming,” she told the other teachers. Sprout and Flitwick

gasped; Slughorn let out a low groan. “Potter has work to

do in the castle on Dumbledore’s orders. We need to put in
place every protection of which we are capable while
Potter does what he needs to do.”
While the teachers and the students to protect the castle,
Harry continued to carry out their duties looking for the lost
diadem.
4. The Journey
Datum 1
Everything seemed fuzzy, slow. Harry and

Hermione jumped to their feet and drew their wands. Many
people were only just realizing that something strange had
happened; heads were still turning toward the silver cat as
it vanished. Silence spread outward in cold ripples from the
place where the Patronus had landed. Then somebody
screamed.
The journey of Harry, Ron and Hermione had started when
the arrival of a devastating Patronus spell of protection that is in
the Burrow. They immediately are disapparated to place to hide.
5. Battle between good and evil

“Hogwarts is threatened!” shouted Professor

McGonagall. “Man the boundaries, protect us, do your
duty to our school!”
Clattering and yelling, the horde of moving statues
stampeded past Harry: some of them smaller, others larger,

than life. There were animals too, and the clanking suits of
armor brandished swords and spiked balls on chains.
The battle between good and evil is about to begin. Armor
began to turn on the spell to keep the defense of Hogwarts.

“I know that you are preparing to fight.” There

were screams amongst the students, some of whom clutched
each other, looking around in terror for the source of the
sound. “Your efforts are futile. You cannot fight me. I do
not want to kill you. I have great respect for the teachers of
Hogwarts. I do not want to spill magical blood.”
Everyone is preparing for this big war. The Battle is
between good and evil.
Datum 3
“The battle is won. You have lost half of your

fighters. My Death Eaters outnumber you, and the Boy Who
Lived is finished. There must be no more war. Anyone who
continues to resist, man, woman, or child, will be
slaughtered, as will every member of their family. Come out
of the castle now, kneel before me, and you shall be spared.
Your parents and children, your brothers and sisters will
live and be forgiven, and you will join me in the new world
we shall build together.”
The battle between good and evil was won by the evil for
the time being. The battle is not finish yet.

Voldemort was in the center of the battle, and he

was striking and smiting all within reach. Harry could not
get a clear shot, but fought his way nearer, still invisible,
and the Great Hall became more and more crowded as
everyone who could walk forced their way inside.
Now the actual hostilities between the hero and the prince
began. Harry is against Voldemort.
Datum 5
Voldemort was now dueling McGonagall, Slughorn,

and Kingsley all at once, and there was cold hatred in his
face as they wove and ducked around him, unable to finish
him —
Now Voldemort facing members of the order.

“Avada Kedavra!”
“Expelliarmus!”
The bang was like a cannon blast, and the golden
flames that
erupted between them, at the dead center of the circle
they had been treading, marked the point where the
spells collided. Harry saw Voldemort’s green jet meet
his own spell, saw the Elder Wand fly high, dark
against the sunrise, spinning across the enchanted
ceiling like the head of Nagini, spinning through the air
toward the master it would not kill, who had come to
take full possession of it at last. And Harry, with the
unerring skill of the Seeker, caught the wand in his free
hand as Voldemort fell backward, arms splayed, the slit
pupils of the scarlet eyes rolling upward. Tom Riddle
hit the floor with a mundane finality, his body feeble
and shrunken, the white hands empty, the snakelike face
vacant and unknowing. Voldemort was dead, killed by

his own rebounding curse, and Harry stood with two

wands in his hand, staring down at his enemy’s shell.
Harry and Voldemort have launched a spell. The battle for
eternal glory has begun.

The sun rose steadily over Hogwarts, and the Great

Hall blazed with life and light. Harry was an indispensable
part of the mingled outpourings of jubilation and mourning,
of grief and celebration. They wanted him there with them,
their leader and symbol, their savior and their guide, and
that he had not slept, that he craved the company of only a
few of them, seemed to occur to no one. He must speak to
the bereaved, clasp their hands, witness their tears, receive
their thanks, hear the news now creeping in from every
quarter as the morning drew on; that the Imperiused up
and down the country had come back to themselves, that
Death Eaters were fleeing or else being captured, that the
innocent of Azkaban were being released at that very
moment, and that Kingsley Shacklebolt had been named
temporary Minister of Magic. . . .

the researcher found some charactersthat reflectedin HarryPotter.
Carl Jung has divided some of the characters in a myth. About the

Epic, The Exploration, The Search, The Wondering, and The Love
Story. Some myth charactersexist in Harry Potter stories.
Therefore, researcher tried to describe Harry Potter character as the
myth.
a. The Hero
The story of this epic HarryPotter already present in the
first book. HarryPotter is an orphan who is elected as the
students of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
When he still child, his parents were killed by a dark wizard,
Lord Voldemort. In an attempt to kill Harry, Voldemort
actually loses his power. Therefore, Harry Potter is referred as
The Boy who lived. Attack from Voldemort is leaving
lightning-shaped scar on his forehead. After that event Harry
Potter was taken to his mother's sister. Harry was raised by
Petunia Dursley and Vernon Dursley. They are muggle. Harry
grew up in a family that did not know anything about the magic
that made him isolated from his fame in the world of magic.
Harry Potter must become like a child in the family outcast
unwanted Dursley. Harry Potter should live in a cupboard
under the stairs. Harry Potter should also wear clothes of
Dudley's former. While in the magical world he has a room full

managed to save Sorcere’ss Stone. Harry against rescue an

since he realized that no one can save the stone when
Dumbledore did not exist. And with courage,Harry finally

The second book HarryPotter and The Chamber of Secrets
tells about the secret room that has been opened by the heir of

gripping. A curse is befalling to some people who see the eyes
of the inhabitants of the chamber of secret. Occupants of the
chamber of secret it is a Basilisk. His eyes could make the
victim becomes petrified. The whisper to Harry ears started, the
strange sound hears every night. Harry realized that he was the
only one who understands 'whisper' behind the wall, because
Harry is a Parselmouth-witch who cans talk in snake’s

The next horcrux is diadem of Rowena Ravenclaw. No one
knows where the diadem is located. The diadem was lost many
centuries ago. From Luna instructions, Harry asked to the Gray
Lady who is the daughter of Rowena Ravenclaw. The Gray
Lady tells Harry that the diadem was hidden where a hidden
item and Harry understands where it is. Because Harry ever
hides the book belongs to the Half Blood Prince there.

always stands beside Voldemort's. Neville destroy Nagini with
Godric Gryffindor sword.
Harry had managed to find the horcruxes belonging to
Voldemort. Harry is the hero type of search objects relating to
the enemy in order to defeat the enemy of magnitude. By
Dumbledore help, Harry knows the weakness of Voldemort
and success to destroy all horcruxes.

Ginny is also a seeker who replaces Harry as Harry banned

According to Carl Gustav Jung Archetype is a primordial
symbolism associated with the pattern of a state where it can be
observed repeatedly in religion, literature, and cultural products
since ancient times. Carl Jung also formulated theory of 'collective
unconsciousness' he refers to as the archetype as systematic
reproduction models in myths and fairy tales. Based on the human

unconscious refers to the human mind that is stored in memory, but
not unnoticed in everyday life. Jung distinguishes between
collective and individual unconscious, it is something from human
experience and suppressed since they were born. Unconsciousness
collective contains primordial ideas or archetypal forms.
In the archetype there is a pattern which refers to a
situation. Situation that forms a pattern of life journey of a hero
called situational archetype. In the story of Harry Potter which
refers to the life story of a hero is the situational archetype. The
researcher found patterns that exist in the character of Harry Potter.
a. The Quest
Puzzle quest of a hero that can restore fertility to the land of
his birth and the world is begun. The Predictions is about a man
who will defeat the prince darkness. The magical world
threatened by Prince of darkness. Forecasters predict named
Sbyill Trelawney said:
"The one with the power to Vanquish the Dark Lord

heroes in the story Harry Potter is also tinged with the task that
awaits him. This task can only be performed by Harry to
conquer the darkness. Prince of darkness or so-called enemy
Voldemort is very hard to beat by ordinary wizard. Therefore,
some people like Ron, Hermione, Dumbledore and the Order
Phoenix come to help Harry.
In the first book Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone,
Harry had to take the Sorcere’ss Stone were targeted by

Professor Quirell. Professor Quirell is assigned a follower of
Voldemort at Hogwarts to retrieve the stone of eternity.
However, Harry, Ron and Hermione went to where the stone
was guarded and managed to pick it up.
In the fourth book, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire,
Harry followed the Triwizard Tournament. This tournament is
just for students in aged 17 years and older. But because there
are some persons who want to harm Harry, Harry was forced to
follow all the obstacles in a given task. The first task he had to
take a golden egg which guarded by a dragon. Hungary
dragon's tail is a dragon that will be faced by Harry. The
dragon is the most ferocious dragon among others. With his
skill using broom Harry finally be able to complete the task
with the fastest time among the other tournament participants.
The second task is to be carried out is to take a target that has
been stolen. The target is someone the person most beloved by
the Triwizard champions. Harry target actually is Ron Weasley,
but Harry also saved Fleur's sister Gabrielle. Fleur could not
continue his job because in obstructed by the mermaids in the
lake. Because Harry has heroic instincts he also rescues the
Fleur target. The third task is walk in maze. Harry must take
the trophy inside the maze. Harry was carrying out the task
with very bold. In the maze Harry also had to help Cedric who

take the trophy.
In the seventh book Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows,
Harry had the task of Professor Dumbledore to find and destroy
the horcruxes. The search conducted with two friends Ron and
Hermione. This task is very secret, Harry is never told anything
to other people about this task. Because the task is finding the
horcruxes is not allowed to leak into the Voldemort. As a
result, Harry successfully carries out this task.
c. The Journey
The story of a hero's journey often we hear. The goal of
Harry’s journey is find horcrux. The horcrux search aims to
destroy the enemy, Lord Voldemort.
In the seventh book Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallow's,
Harry did not continue his education at Hogwarts to travel
looking for Voldemort's horcruxes. Harry's journey to find
horcrux is not alone. Harry was accompanied by both his best
friend, Ron and Hermione. On the way Harry was helped by
the presence of two of his best friend. Hermione was helping
gather clues about the horcruxes instructions through books she
had read. Ron also help Harry to keep them from danger.

Their journey begins when the arrival of a Patronus that
convey the message. The message said that the Ministry of
Magic has fallen and the minister of magic is dead. The
patronus is followed by the death eater who disrupts the
wedding of Bill Weasley and Fleur Delacour. Harry, Ron and
Hermione were immediately dissaparete to Tottenham Court
Road. That place is the only place remembered by Hermione.
Then they are continued their journey to Grimmauld Place
number twelve. They hid there while waiting news from
Kreacher. Then Harry, Ron and Hermione continue on to the
Ministry of Magic. They do disguise to enter the ministry of
magic.
After taking the Horcrux from Dolores Umbrige they went
to the Forbidden Forest to hide. They're there for a few days
and bring together their Slytherin necklace. Ron who felt
ignored Harry and Hermione left them. After the Forbidden
Forest from Harry and Hermione go to visit Godric's Hollow.
Harry wanted to see the grave of his parents there.
