    1.0 INTRODUCTION

    This reports highlights the approved cement brand and source for all Megawide Construction
    Corporation Precast Project. Quality control, laboratory test and procedure on approval are as per
    ASTM, PCI 116 Standards and project requirements.

    2.0 CEMENT TYPE

    2.1 Ordinary Portland Cement Type 1 (OPC 1) complying ASTM C-150

     Portland Cement – hydraulic cements composed primarily of hydraulic calcium


    silicates. Set and hardened by reacting chemically with water.

     OPC Type 1 – This is general purpose cement suitable for all uses where the
    special properties of other type are not required. Its uses, besides in precast
    products are pavements, bridges, railway structures, tanks and reservoirs, pipe
    and masonry products

     ASTM C-150 – Standard Specification for Portland Cement

    3.0 APPROVAL REQUIREMENTS

    3.1 Cement Test Results


    Time Setting of cement and Compressive test results on mortar cube

    3.2 Concrete Test Results


    Trial mix results and Compressive test results on cylinder/cube concrete sample

    3.3 Early Age Results for Precast Stripping


    Minimum 1200 psi @10-12 hours as per MCC-PQP and Production requirements
