This course focuses on the basic concepts and fundamental skills in Numbers, Geometry, Measurement and Algebra. For appropriate mastery of the mathematical
skills, students are required to demonstrate content knowledge in Mathematics and present relevant and real-life problems as an application of the numeracy and
accuracy skills for reflective thinking and opportunities to “think outside the box”. Moreover, in the course, students must demonstrate knowledge of Mathematical
teaching strategies that promote both accuracy and speed in solving Math problems or problem sets for critical and higher order thinking skills.
(BTIs 1.1.1, 1.4.1, etc., BLEPT Competencies in Mathematics 1.1, 1.2, 2.1-2.12, 3.1-3.4, 5.1-5.3)
