Capaian Pembelajaran Mata Kuliah This course provides the students with knowledge of reading comprehension, reading strategies and
ability to apply that knowledge in reading. The strategies which are involved in this course are
identifying main ideas, identifying text organization/pattern, inferring, predicting, dealing with
unfamiliar words, reading for specific information, linking ideas, scanning for key words, scanning
for information, and skimming. Above all, this course is designed to help students become better
readers by applying the strategies, to enjoy reading, to use reading texts as stimulation for thought
and discussion about new idea
