these buttons with certain password level in GenConfig in Commands tab.

InteliMainsNT 3.0.3 Release notes 3

l New definition of Nominal Frequency
l Nominal frequency for protections is now defined by setpoint Basic settings:Nominal freq which allows
user to select from list (50Hz, 60Hz) with offset given by Basic settings:Nom frq offset (from -2.0 to
+2.0). Effectively the range of the nominal frequency is now from 48.0Hz to 52Hz and from 58Hz to
62Hz. Both setpoints are available for Force Value function.
l ROCOF protection changes
l New Logical Binary Output ROCOF TRIP added. This LBO signalizes the activation of the ROCOF
protection (it remains active for 3s).
l New setpoint Mains protect:ROCOF prot added. It enables or disables the protection. It is possible to
enable ROCOF all the time and in parallel operation only.
l Mains protect:ROCOF df/dt range changed. New range is 0.1Hz/s to 10.0Hz/s. OFF function is
removed and its purpose is taken by Mains protect:ROCOF prot.
l AMF settings:MCB opens on = BUS VOLTAGE removed from MCB application
l Limits of nominal voltages changed
l Limits of Basic settings:MainsNomV, MainsNomVph-ph, BusNomV, BusNomVph-ph, BusLNomV,
BusLNomVph-ph, BusRNomV, BusRNomVph-ph, LoadNomV and LoadNomVph-ph changed from 80V
to 10V and from 130V to 17V (these values are relative and depend on the chosen Power Format).
l This changes are done to accommodate the new Power Format 0.01 MW MVAr MVA MX V
l Command group RemoteSwitch(Le renamed to RemoteSw(On/Off)
l Title of the SCADA page of IB-COM or IB-NT for remote monitoring and control of the controller changed to
SCADA
l New Power Format added
l 0.01 MW MVAr MVA MX V Power Format added for sites with combined HighPower/LowVoltage
measurements.
l This Power format is compatible with 0.01 MW MVAr MVA MX kV.
l Changes of IP related setpoints disabled when Comms settings: IP addr mode = AUTOMATIC
l It is no longer possible to change setpoints Comms settings:IP address, Net mask, Gateway IP and
DNS IP, when Comms settings: IP addr mode = AUTOMATIC.
l Maximum number of PLC blocks changed
l Maximum number of AND/OR and XOR/RS blocks changed from 200 to 128 (in previous version adding
more than 128 blocks was also not possible even though 200 available blocks were indicated).
l 64 (raised from 32) blocks with analog output can be configured.
l In GenConfig, total counter of blocks with Binary Output and Analog Output added (total maximum of
Binary Outputs in PLC is 128 and Analog Outputs 64).
l New PLC block Delay ‘B’ is available
l Instead of 24 standard Delay blocks, there are 16 standard Delay blocks now and 8 new Delay ‘B’
blocks.
l Delay ‘B’ works on the same principle as standard Delay block, but moreover allows user to define the
time of the delay to be in seconds, minutes or hours.
l It is possible to use four separate WinScope connections at once
l Changed from 13 to 4.

InteliMainsNT 3.0.3 Release notes 4

l User Masking function added
l Four new Logical Binary Inputs added: USER MASK 1-4.
l LBI USER MASK X can be used to mask objects in InteliVision 5 and 8 and unmask screens in
InteliVision 5.
l Added support of new peripheries
l New peripheries Inteli AIN8, Inteli AIN8TC and Inteli IO8/8 (can be modified to Inteli IO16/0) are now
supported.
l Behaviour of loading in Test on Load changed
l Now, there is no time limit for loading in Test on Load. MCB is opened only if the measured
Import/Export goes below 0 ± 5% of Basic settings:NominMainsImp. If the power is not measured (i.e.
ProcessControl:I/E-Pm meas = NONE) then MCB is opened after AMF settings:BreakerOverlap.
l Test on Load with Break now available
l InteliMains-NT now performs Test on Load with Break sequence if ProcessControl:Parallel enable = NO
or ProcessControl:Synchro enable = NONE or REVERSE.
l Controller opens MCB and closes MGCB after AMF settings:FwRet break.
l For detailed description of Test on Load sequence please refer to the Reference Guide of MCB and
MGCB application.
l Peak Shaving based on Apparent Power added
l Peak Shaving functionality added based on Apparent power. Two new setpoints define limits for start
and stop of the gen-set group and one new setpoints defines the delay of the function
(ProcessControl:Peak kVA Start, Peak kVA Stop, PeakKVAS/S del). Adjust the delay to 0 (OFF) to
disable the function.
l Logical Binary Output PeakShaveAct gets activated when InteliMains activates Sys start/stop output
because of Peak Shaving fuction. This output is common for Peak Shaving based on Apparent power
and on Active power.
l Peak Shaving based on Apparent power can work together with Peak Shaving based on Active power.
l Setpoint ProcessControl:AUT ctrl mode renamed
l Name changed to ProcessControl:BrkCtrl in AUT
l External parallel manual control of the breaker and synchronization in MAN mode
l Especially for Marine applications possibility of external control of breakers in MAN mode was added.
l This function can be toggled by the setpoint ProcessControl:BrkCtrl in MAN.
l When FOLLOW option is selected, it is possible to control breaker using controller terminal etc. as
normally. Moreover controller does not issue any alarms if the position of breakers is changed externally.
l It is possible to force synchronization by activation of Logical Binary Input Force sync. This is available
when the controller is in MAN mode and ProcessControl:BrkCtrl in MAN = FOLLOW or when the
controller is in AUT mode and ProcessControl:BrkCtrl in AUT = COX(FOLLOW).
l Force synchronization does not have any timeout, controller keeps the Mains and the Bus synchronized
without closing the breaker. The synchronization process can be ended by disabling FORCE SYNC
input, changing form FOLLOW to NORMAL, changing to another mode or closing of the breaker
externally.
l In PLC Interp. Fc ‘B’ replaced Interp. Fc
l New Interp. Fc ‘B’ provides user with inputs for the definition of the interpolation (i.e. values, setpoints,
PLC outputs etc. can be used as inputs for the definition of the interpolation).

InteliMainsNT 3.0.3 Release notes 5

l Interp. Fc ‘B’ features two new Binary Outputs OutOfRange (Oor) and DataInvalid (Err). Output Oor
activates when the Input value is out of range of the limits given by X1 and X2 inputs. Output Err
activates when there are invalid data on any of the inputs of the PLC block.
l Number of Interpolation blocks changed from 2 to 8.
l Negative values in PLC Timer, Delay and Counter behavior changed
l If inputs of PLC blocks Timer, Delay and Counter receive negative value, it is treated as zero (i.e. Timer
with zero time, Delay with zero delay and Counter with limit zero)
l Counter – never activates its output
l Timer – the same behavior as in case of 0 on the input
l Delay and Delay ‘B’ - the same behavior as in case of 0 on the input
l Note that Counter with limit zero activates its output after the first pulse (i.e. the same behavior as when
limit is set to 1)
l New PLC block Math AxB/C
l This block performs mathematical operation (A times B) divided by C. If any of the inputs receives
invalid data, invalid data (-32768) is transmitted on the output and binary output Err (DataInvalid)
activates. The same situation occurs when the final result is out of the range of signed Integer16 (i.e. -
32767 to 32767). The resolution of the output is 1, thus it is rounded when the result has some decimals.
Another possibility of this is when division by 0 is required.
l The PLC block PID Ana ‘C’ replaced the original block PID Ana
l The parameter of block Period can be linked to setpoint or analog value (originally only constant was
possible).
l Two new parameters of block, Low limit and High limit, has been added. If one of the limits on output of
regulator is reached, the regulation (regulation sum inside of regulator) is stopped to prevent the
saturation of regulator.
l Ditributed Binary Inputs and Outputs
l This function is available only for BaseBox type controllers
l Each controller can broadcast one set of eight Binary Outputs via CAN to all other controllers on the
same CAN.
l Each controller can receive up to 32 sets of eight Binary Inputs via CAN (i.e. it can also receive its own
set of eight).
l It is not possible to assign protection on DISTBIN outputs and it is not possible to change name of
DISTBIN and DISTBOUT (default names are DISTBIN-XY Z (where XY (01-32) is the address of the
source controller and Z is the number (1-8) of the actual Input and Output).
l Support of positioning and time synchronization from InternetBridge-NT
l Function is available only in combination with InternetBridge-NT sw V2.0 and higher
l New Values Info: Latitude, Longitude – available for monitoring and WebSupervisor
l Time is synchronized automatically from InternetBridge-NT
l Controller is now able to decode “multipart”(longer) SMS messages.
l Force sync (synchronization) function changed in BTB
l Force sync function in BTB now do not start synchronization process if there are not healthy voltages on
both buses. It does not longer issue alarm after timeout elapses.
l Default controller name changed to IM-NT

InteliMainsNT 3.0.3 Release notes 6

l Modbus/TCP terminal supported on RS485(2) port
l Support of Alarm Indication and Alarm + History Indication in the Websupervisor added
l BusMeasError function changed
l BusMeasError function now reacts also on Mains incomers connected to the same logical group (also
interconnected via BTBs)
l Changing the setpoint AMF settings:MCB opens on now affects the breaker
l If setpoint AMF settings:MCB opens on is changed to MAINS FAIL while the mains fail is detected and
the MCB has not opened yet, it is opened immediately.
l Changing AMF settings:MCB opens on to GEN RUNNING or BUS VOLTAGE does not causes any
action.

5.2 Repairs
l Bug causing controller to be permanently locked against inserting password repaired.
l This bug occurred when system password is different from default password and the protection against
breaking password is activated.
l When setpoints for IP address settings (Comms settings:IP address, Net mask and Gateway IP) are
password protected and IP address is obtained automatically (Comms settings:IP addr mode =
AUTOMATIC) by IB-COM, controller gets locked permanently displaying yellow warning
PassInsertBlck. The timer of this protection does not count down.
l This occurs only with newer versions of IB-COM FW.
l Note that IB-COM is built-in communication module in InteliGen-NTC-BaseBox, InteliSys-NTC-
BaseBox and InteliMains-NTC-BaseBox.
l Possible Island operation when Island enable = NO removed
l In MCB application it was possible to reach Island mode even though it was not enabled in MAN mode
and for some specific settings in AUT mode.
l TEST mode and Test on Load
l ProcessControl:MGCBparalClose = MCB CLOSED is no longer respected in TEST mode and TEST
mode now works properly when ProcessControl:MGCBparalClose = MCB CLOSED (in previous
version cyclic malfunction of circuit breakers occurred when ProcessControl:MGCBparalClose = MCB
CLOSED).
l ProcessControl:MGCBparalClose = MCB CLOSED is considered the same as
ProcessControl:MGCBparalClose = YES in Test on Load (i.e. the controller closed MGCB prior to start
of the gen-set group if SYS START/STOP is activated).
l Test on Load now works properly when ProcessControl:IslandEnable = NO (Test on Load is not
performed, ProcessControl:MGCBparalClose = MCB CLOSED is considered the same as
ProcessControl:MGCBparalClose = YES, i.e. the MGCB is not close because SYS START/STOP does
not activate).
l Default curve for PT1000 sensor repaired.
l Value 1560Ω -> 164.5°C changed to the right value 1560Ω -> 146.5°C
l In FDR application Active calls now work properly for Breaker Open and BrkOpn w/Reset.
l In previous versions it was not possible to assign active call triggered by Breaker Open and BrkOpn
w/Reset protections.
l Setpoints Act. call/SMS:Mains protect and MainsP w/Reset changed to Act. call/SMS:Breaker Open
and BrkOpn w/Reset.

InteliMainsNT 3.0.3 Release notes 9

7 Notes
7.1 MCB control form external device
There were no changes in the controller behavior in this regard. This description of behavior is
included for informational purposes only.
Opening of the MCB externally is allowed because external protection device may open it based on its
protections. The controller will try to reclose the breaker if Mains protect type protection is not configured
accordingly (e.g. external protection device/relay does not allow user to send this type of signal or such wiring is
impractical). After failed attempt to close the breaker, the controller issues standard alarm and in AUT mode
starts the engine and consequently closes GCB and/or MGCB breaker.

7.2 MCB fail Information

There were no changes in the controller behavior in this regard. This description of behavior is
included for informational purposes only.
When feedback of a CB fails (wiring problem etc.), the controller indicates open breaker even though in fact the
breaker may be still closed. At such event the controller tries to reclose the breaker and after unsuccessful
reclosing it opens the breaker and allows start of gen-sets and closing of another breaker without synchronizing
or gen-sets may be started automatically and another breaker is closed without synchronizing.
When the feedback fails the breaker is opened by the actions that the controller takes (reclosing sequence ends
with CB OFF coil activation and CB close/open signal is deactivated). If there is a concern that the breaker may
not open after feedback fail the following measures should be applied.
For full safety when operating breakers using of secondary feedback (CB fdb neg) is available.
In some cases it may not be possible to use secondary feedback and still the start of gen-sets needs to be
prevented if CB fail alarm isissued. Should this be the case the following function should be used to prevent
automatic start gen-set/gen-set group and closing to Mains voltage without synchronizing since the feedback
from a breaker is faulty.
