Campus Design Brief 18092020-1
Identification of the core function of the campus and how this has been incorporated in the architectural design, specifically at
site planning level.
Site: Site Boundary, Dimension/ Immediate Surroundings/Quality of the Entrance and Approaches.
Topography of the site and geometrical pattern of buildings and incidental spaces.
Zoning: Different zones/character of each zone/land use pattern /transitional elements between zones supported by cross sections
through various zones.
FAR and Density: Building blocks, built versus open space percentages/building heights and their footprints (supported through
sections) approaches to the block, positive and negative open spaces analysis.
Road network: cross sections of the streets and nodes, street hierarchy and segregating pedestrian and vehicular movement
supported with photographs/Sketches.
Services: water supply, sanitation, electricity, telephone (cable system), gas lines, fire fighting systems and security systems adopted
in the site and in the building blocks and parking spaces
Vistas: Character of the buildings, entrances, visual impressions, and scale of the study area.
Site features: Other physical features like vegetation, water bodies, hillocks, rock formations etc and visual resources.
Environmental design aspects: Any attempt to incorporate features of sustainable design/barrier design elements at site level.
Target: - The above aspects should be completed with literature study and presented with 10 slides.
