INTRODUCTION
Electrical installation Is installing of whole new electrical wires and electrical
outlets in the residential, commercial or any institutional buildings.According
to building types different type of Electrical installation is done. If it is a
residential building then wiring is done with the wires which is meant for
residential buildings and the electrical outlets are putted according to the
home appliances such as tv, fridge, washing machine. But in commercial and
residential buildings heavy amount of electricity is used , so their wiring is
done with the wire which can resist heavy flow of electricity. And the outlets
with high ampier is putted.

Faults in the electrical wiring systems of properties account for the majority
of fires and in some cases fatal electric shock accidents. Every year
approximately 25 people are killed by electricity at work. In addition to these
fatalities, 1000 major injury accidents are also reported. (Source HSE 2006).
Around 25% of all electrical injury accidents are caused by portable electrical
equipment (PPE). Faulty electrical leads cause around 2000 fires each year.
Property owners are responsible for the overall safety of the electrical
installation. i.e. fixed wiring.

It is important to remember that installation, inspection, testing and

maintenance of new or altered electrical systems should only be carried out
by a competent qualified electrical tradesmen or contractor. The electrical
installation must be installed in accordance with the Institution of
Engineering and Technology (IET) Wiring Regulations 17th edition now
known as BS 7671:2008 incorporating amendment 3:2015, where
appropriate. The IET Wiring Regulations establish the accepted safety
parameters for designers, installers and testers of electrical installations. The
IET Wiring Regulations have the status of a Code of Practice and whilst being
non-statutory, may be used in a court of law as evidence of the standard to
be achieved. It is recommended that electrical installations are tested at
least once in every 5 year period or after any additions are made to the
system. Simple, visual inspections should take place more frequently.

The international standard reference for electrical installation in buildings is

the IEC 60364 series “Low-voltage electrical installations”, and its European

equivalent, the HD 60364. But these standards are general, applicable to all
types of premises, and do not provide simplified and ready-to-use rules for
residential premises. Some of the standards from part 7 of the IEC 60364
address residential premises, such as the IEC 60364-7-701 “Requirements
for special installations or locations – Locations containing a bath or shower”,
which provides mandatory additional safety measures for bathrooms

In practice, most countries have national regulations or standards governing

the rules to be strictly observed in the design and realization of electrical
installations for residential and similar premises. But these national
standards are not harmonized internationally, and may range from very
basic requirements to advanced requirements for safety and comfort.

Some of these national regulations and standards also include elements

which are not covered or required by the IEC 60364 series:

+ additional requirements for safety, like protection against fire risks with
smoke detectors, or with the mandatory installation of AFDD (Arc Fault
Detection Devices) in bedrooms ... + requirements for (minimum) comfort,
like minimum equipment per type of rooms (socket outlets ...)

Finally, additional requirements are needed to cover new "usages", like

Electric Vehicle charging, photovoltaic installations. Therefore, the content of
this section is an overview of the main requirements or recommendations for
residential premises, from an international point of view, based on some
advanced local standards from countries like France, Italy, Germany, Spain.

In this study, it focuses on the safety of the customers/users that will create
a plan for their electrical wirings and specifically for residential houses. it will
show the guidelines and safety precussions on electrical installation on
residential customers/consumers and also the preffered design for their safet
as well. this study will discuss the importance of proper and correct
installation of electrical wirings on every residential buildings/houses and it
will also tackle the procedures and safety guidelines/tips to ensure that the
installation has no faults and it's following the rules of electrical installation
for residential consumers/customers.

These modern homes is that they are devoid of the sort of extra detailing
that people throughout history used to decorate their properties, leaving just
the beauty of clean lines and a refreshing appreciation for efficient living
instead.

SCOPE

 For the safeness of the resident living

 The comfortably feeling of the resident or a family
 The design of the of the house and the location of the area is relaxing

LIMITATION

 The location of the house is far from the daily needs and wants
 The materials that needs is to expensive because of the house design
that choosed
