Objectives
1. · Describe what DART is, and what are its main features
2. · Detail the services it can perform and the hardware necessary
3. · Demonstrate the ability to create a new job or open an existing one (template)
4. Get familiar with the different functions and Utilities available in DART

Details
 From the DART manual concentrate on reading chapters 1,2,3,4,13,14,15,16
 Go through the DART introduction and installation presentation available on CD’s.

Find the answer to the following questions, and be prepared for small verbal test in the morning:

1. Describe what DART is and why it was developed, and what are its advantages compared
to SMART.
2. List the acquisition services currently available in DART
3. List the fully supported equipment and identify it physically in the lab
4. How do we configure the hardware for use in DART? (Hint- USB Multi comport)
5. When you start a job, where is it stored under the Windows file structure as default?
6. What is the official Schlumberger site to input Software modifications and enhancements?
7. What are the two modes of operation in DART, and how are they accessed (hint, PB and
RT)
8. Describe the different options available in DART Utility section.
9. Differentiate among Grid, Type and Display functions.
10. Describe the various types of Graphics available and their applications.
11. Define the Reporting period – Flow period – Metering period principal.
