LEARNING OBJECTIVES : Main: At the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to name at least 3
animals for each habitat correctly.
Complementary: At the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to describe
the habitats by colouring the diorama correctly

*ACTIVITIES : i. PRE-LESSON : A bubble map is drawn on the board with a habitat in the middle.
Pupils brainstorm the animals in the particular habitat.

ii. LESSON DEVELOPMENT : 1.Pupils are explained about the 4D diorama.

2. A sample is shown. Pupils can be divided into groups or make the
diorama individually.
3. Pupils are either provided with pictures or they can bring their own
pictures of animals.
4. Teacher shows pupils how to build the diorama first step by step.
5. Pupils can cut up the pictures of animals and paste it at the correct
habitat.

iii. POST-LESSON : Pupils discuss on completing the background of the habitat.

3. Pupils are shown another video without sound. 4. Pupils are going to conduct the
activity orally. 5. In pairs, pupils plan out their conversation with the correct
intonation. Teacher guides the pupils with the sentence structure. 6. Pupils come to
the front to the teacher to do the voice recording.

they don’t understand. 5. Pupils are guided through Year 2 Step by Step
Writing Module Part 1. 6. Pupils are called out randomly to make
sentences based on a different substitution table on the board. 6. Pupils
complete section A and B in the module.
