Characteristics of Position Control Module
Position Control Module (Open Collector or Line Drive
Output Enabled)
Position Control Module (1, 2, 3 and 4 axes) with maximum speed of 1 Mpps enables
high speed, high accuracy position decision. Initialization time is less than 1ms.
S-shape acceleration/deceleration function enables flexible initialization/stop
operations. Pulse generator input function enables real time output via use of manual
pulse generator (MPG function).

Characteristics
• Pulse Output Method is available (Open Collector or Line Drive).
It is correspondable with the connections with pulse input drives (AC/DC servo
drive, stepping drive). This position control module is accessible with any drives
since it can selectively use either an open collector output or a line drive output.
• Maximum pulse speed of 1 Mpps enables high speed, high accuracy position
decision.
• 4 axes are equipped in 1 unit to enable multi-axes control.
• High speed initialization enables reduction of Tact -Time (Initialization time 0.1ms).
Tact-Time can be reduced by selecting high speed initialization mode.
• Parameter setting is simplified, and automatic acceleration/deceleration is enabled.
• Smooth initialization/stop operation is realized through S-shape acceleration/
deceleration

Point of Origin Proximity Input (D) and Point of Origin Input (Z) are
lighted when each input is valid. Input logics are designated with
program control codes. LED (D) is turned off, and, LED (Z) is turned on
with initial power input.
(3)
Pulse Generator Signal Input (PA) and (PB) display the status of the
pulse generator’s input. It is lighted when nothing is connected to the
pulse generator input circuit.

Operation Mode Setting Switch
These are switches designating the rotation direction of each Axis and pulse output
method. Factory default settings are configured with the conventional settings
(direction set to have incremental expiration value) for rotation direction and with
Pulse/Sign mode for pulse output method. (All are set to ON when shipped from the
factory.)
Please set rotation direction “OFF” when rotating to the opposite direction from the
program-designated direction.
Set pulse output method to match the motor drive method.
