    2. - Where is the bowling alley?

    3. - Where is the hotel? (next to)
    It´s next to the bank.
    4. - Where is the zoo? (opposite)
    It´s opposite art gallery.

    3. - Look at the map from exercise 2 and complete the sentences with the correct
    preposition.
    1. The hospital is next to the bookshop.
    2. The school is in front of the bus station.
    3. The bar is opposite the bank.
    4. The bus station is between the school and the art gallery.
    5. The city hall is next to the library.

    4. - Look at the two pictures and find differences. Write sentences using “There
    is / are”(affirmative or negative).

    a) In picture A, the post office is opposite at library.


    In picture B, the internet cafe isn´t opposite the sport shop.
    b) In picture A, the library is between video place and sport shop.
    In picture B, the library isn´t between video place and sport shop.
    c) In picture A, the bus stop is next to post office.
    In picture B, the bus stop isn´t next to post office, also the bus stop is next to the
    library.
    5. - Look at this map and write the directions. You are at “X”.

    a) A: Excuse me, can you tell me where the bowling alley is, please?
    B: Yes. It´s behind the library.
    A: Thank you very much.
    B: Turn right and then go straight to the bottom.

    b) A: Excuse me, is there a park near here?


    B: Yes. It’s after bowling alley.
    A: How do we go to him?
    B: Turn right, when you get to bowling alley, turn left.

    6. - Now, have a look at this map and write a complete dialogue. You are at the

    A: Hello, can you tell me where the restaurant is, please?
    B: Hi, the restaurant is the restaurant is next to the lake.
    A: Hmm, How do we go to the lake?
    B: Go through the zebra crossing, go straight and turn left, you will find the lake and
    right next to it is the restaurant.

    b) (ask and give directions to go to the cinema)


    A: Excuse me, is there a cinema near here?
    B: yes, the cinema is opposite museum.
    A: On this street can I cross to the right?
    B: Yes, if later when you pass the traffic lights you will find the cinema.
