Founded over 110 years ago, Brugg Kabel AG – active under the Brugg Cables brand name – is a leading Swiss cable
manufacturer with a global market presence. Our 650 employees develop, manufacture, distribute, install and service
cables, accessories and system solutions all over the world for energy distribution, data transmission and industrial
system applications.
Together with its subsidiary Brugg Cables Industry, Brugg Cables is an affiliate of the Brugg Group and is based in
Brugg, Switzerland. With our own production facilities in the USA, China and Poland and sales offices and represen-
tatives around the world, we are also able to meet local needs on an international level.

production. With this in mind, Brugg Cables owns one of the largest high-voltage laboratories – with a 1,200 kV AC voltage
generator and 3,000 kV pulse generator – in addition to state-of-the-art production facilities and other testing laboratories.

High-voltage systems form the backbone of electrical energy transmission over long distances. Brugg Cables can draw
on broad technical know-how and state-of-the-art production methods for manufacturing polymer and oil-filled cables
and their accessories. Our experienced project and installation teams support the customer from the initial idea right up
to completion of the system. We also offer a wide range of different training programs.
Our know-how is based on decades of experience and intensive research in our own research and testing laboratory.
Brugg Cables is one of the few global cable manufacturers who produce cables and accessories for the highest voltage
level used at present (550 kV).

High-voltage cable systems are only as good as the accessories used. Our accessories are developed, manufactured
and tested by experienced personnel at our Swiss plant in Brugg using state-of-the-art technologies and taking into
account the highest quality standards. As an independent supplier of high-voltage accessories, our products are desig-
ned so that they can be used in a wide range of applications on systems all over the world from all cable and switchgear
manufacturers. In addition, we also offer services for the development and testing of high-voltage accessories.
Our Brugg Cables Academy offers a variety of training opportunities for engineers and technicians – from practical as-
sembly courses right up to theoretical courses on polymer and oil-filled cable systems up to 550 kV.

The cable systems from Brugg Cables transmit electrical energy reliably, constantly and with low losses via medium-
voltage and low-voltage distribution networks directly to the consumer. Metallic and non-metallic fibre optic cables
transmit telecommunication data to household connections via overhead and underground cables, including through
lakes, rivers and sewers. Our experienced staff support customers from planning and commissioning right up to
the maintenance of their energy distribution and data networks. They are also happy to pass on their knowledge in
practical training sessions. With our years of experience, we are able to accommodate a wide range of customer
wishes. Our standard products are always delivered ex-stock.

Brugg Cables plans, develops and manufactures high-quality sensor cable solutions for oil & gas, energy, industrial,
safety, fire prevention and environmental applications. Together with the corresponding accessories, these sensor
cables and special cables are primarily used for the measurement and monitoring of temperature, strain, acoustics and
pressure along a fibre optic cable.
Brugg Cables develops, manufactures and assembles fibre optic cables for tactical communication systems, which are
used for data transmission in harsh environments. We also produce systems in order to optimally integrate the commu-
nication infrastructure of our customers. With accessories for mobile cable installation and system maintenance, we are
able to offer our customers single-source solutions.

Based on our years of experience, we develop and manufacture complete cable systems that are completely tailored
to the demands of the customer. Among others, particular demands are set on the reliability and durability of cable
systems in industrial applications. We have the necessary know-how, materials and systems to be able to meet these
demands. We also have over 20 years of experience in cable assembly and insert moulding of plugs, cable glands and
