    of the selected Drivers in Zamboanga City on RA 10913 also known as The
    Anti – Distracted Driving Act.
    Directions: Please put a check mark (√) if you are (5) Highly Aware, (4)

    statements below based on RA 10913 also known as The Anti – Distracted
    Driving Act.

    1. RA 10913 also known
    as The Anti –
    Distracted Driving Act
    is an existing law.
    2. RA 10913 covers both
    public and private
    vehicles.
    3. RA 10913 prohibits
    drivers in making or
    receiving calls,
    writing, sending, or
    reading text-based
    communications while
    driving.
    4. RA 10913 allows
    drivers to use their
    devices to make and
    take emergency calls
    when personal safety
    and security is
    compromised.
    5. RA 10913 – first
    offense, the penalty
    will be 5,000 pesos.
    6. RA 10913 – beyond
    third offense, the
    penalty will be 20,
    000 pesos and the
    driver’s license will be
    revoked.
    7. RA 10913 prohibits
    the use of electronic
    devices while driving.
    8. RA 10913 was already
    implemented last July
    6, 2017
    9. RA 10913 allows
    drivers the use of
    hands free devices
    like: microphones or
    earphones to make
    and receive calls while
    driving.
    10. RA 10913 prohibits
    drivers to watch movies and
    surf or browse the internet
    while driving
    11. RA 10913 prohibits
    drivers to use their
    cellphones while they are
    temporarily stopped in a
    traffic or an intersection.
    12. RA 10913 allows
    drivers to use traffic and
    navigational apps like waze
    and google maps while
    driving.
    13. RA 10913 allows the
    use of dashcams.
    14. RA 10913-
    cellphones must be place or
    mounted below, at the same
    level or on the top as long as
    the device is not higher than
    four (4) inches from the
    dashboards.
    15. RA 10913 prohibits
    drivers to use earphones in
    listening to music while
    driving.
    16. RA 10913 allows
    accessories on dashboards
    such as rosaries, figurines or
    toys.
