RESERVOIRS PERFORMANCE
YEAR (2013)
Reservoir: Waha Field: South Jebel Concession: 6

1.1 PERFORMANCE SUMMARY:

The Waha reservoir in South Jebel Field was discovered in May, 1973 by the drilling of well BBBB1-6,
which is situated about 3.5 kilometers southwest of the Jebel Field.
After completing the well, the Waha tested 2090 STBOPD and no water on a 1/2" choke with a flowing
tubing pressure of 170 psig. First production was in August 1987, the well was shut-in in January 2003
due to a lack of gas lift gas.
Cumulative production of the Waha reservoir is 595.673 MSTBO, 376.439 MMSCFG and 605.496
MBW.

RESERVOIRS PERFORMANCE
YEAR (2013)
Reservoir: Gialo Field: South Jebel Concession: 6

1.1 PERFORMANCE SUMMARY:

The South Jebel, Gialo reservoir was discovered in 1973 with the drilling of well BBBB1-6. In 1987 the
well was worked over; the well tested 495 STBOPD with a high water cut. Subsequently, the Gialo was
abandoned and the well was re-completed in the Waha.
In 1984 well BBBB2-6 was drilled and completed in the Gialo formation. The well produced with a
submersible pump 9.8 MSTBO and 4.9 MMSCFG between October 1988 and January 1991. The
frequent and expensive short run lives of these pumps led to shut-in the well.
In 1996 a progressive cavity pump was placed in BBBB2-6, and it produced at an average of 165
STBOPD, 387 SCF/STB GOR with no water for only seven months. The well was subsequently placed
on gas lift. It initially tested 115 STBOPD in January 1998, but by June 1998 the well only produced 40
STBOPD. Due to the low rate BBBB2-6 was shut-in in July 1998.
Cumulative production of the Gialo reservoir is 56.316 MSTBO, 23.483 MMSCFG and 2.797 MBW.
