Introduction:
Excellence is a goal that everyone seeks to achieve in the corporate world. Be that as an
employee of an organization or starting something on one’s own as a business venture,
everyone wants to achieve as high as possible. A path that leads you to be called a “successful
individual” is somewhere everyone wants to follow, and I possess the same outlook too.
I have been in touch with the Information Technology sector and business sector academically
and professionally for the past 10 years, and I am certain that progress towards this field in this
huge domain is the right choice. Graduating in Computer Science in the summer of 2009, I
joined Tech Mahindra as a fresher and got trained in the techno-functional domain SAP
Business intelligence with which I continued to work with various clients of Tech Mahindra like
Nestle, Philips, and T-Mobile which gave me global exposure in dealing with various issues and
managing the onsite-offshore models. In the year 2018, I have established my start-up, a
designer clothing store, which has been my long-standing wish. As one of the first employees
with the business, I have handled multiple roles from being a founder, recruiter, store manager
and designer successfully. With the experience I gained from handling and designing for people
from different parts of the world during these years, I am confident of working successfully in a
fast-paced international business environment.
Why have you chosen to study an MBA?
During all my experience with IT and with my newly established start-up, I have encountered
numerous obstacles and unforeseen challenges. While some problems can be overcome with
experience, some are unique which require foresight and business acumen, which I hope to
learn and incorporate into my business by pursuing an MBA program. In recent years, the
business world has become rapidly integrated across once restricting borders, and anyone with
high goals in the business world must have an international perspective and be aware of the
realities of different global arenas. MBA curriculum gives an opportunity to learn various
strategies, toolkits to handle these challenges better.
How will an MBA help you achieve your career goal?
Experience makes us learn things. However, I realized that more focus and learning in
management are required for my career progression. This made me search for some of the best
universities where I can learn the practical aspects of business management including risk
management capabilities. As a management professional and a business leader, I need to learn
much more about current developments and techniques in management to help me advance in
this competitive world. The risks and challenges I faced during my tenure as an IT professional
as well as the MD of a Startup made me realize the need for in-depth knowledge in various
management scenarios. Approach to the different problems needs to change which can be
acquired only through a detailed study of the management concepts. These in combination with
my work experience would help me in the progression of my knowledge in any future endeavors
I take up.
What is your future Job and companies you will work in after completion of this
program?
The broad business curriculum coupled with specialization in various management fields would
allow me to grow as a Business specialist and Entrepreneur. To achieve my career goals in the
IT industry as well as my start-up in fashion designing, I would like to expand and standardize
the practices and use the various concepts learned from the program into the growth of my
company and also use the skills acquired with the detailed course to become better
management professional.
Do you need an MBA program chosen to do your future job? If yes how?
Yes, I believe that learning and experience from my previous work pursuits would help me
better understand and learn various management concepts and their application in practice by
relating the same with different examples. This program would enable me to integrate and apply
the understanding to solve various critical management problems and help me in making
strategic decisions wherever required. The international and multidisciplinary perspectives I
would be leaning for this program would change the outlook and perception on various issues.
Why have you chosen Ulster University?
The MBA program designed by Ulster University to equip students with critical thinking and
operation management skills. They benefit from the professional experiences, knowledge, and
networking of Ulster University’s highly qualified faculty. I hope to prosper at Ulster University,
making full use of its outstanding faculty with an emphasis on the collaborative learning
environment, flexibility in curriculum and a global perspective on various key issues. I firmly
believe that this program will provide me with all the opportunities to enable further honing my
technical and management skills I have acquired so far. I hope to become a part of this dynamic
culture which will give me a leading edge to work effectively in diverse teams and situations.

Jordanstown campus is the largest of the Ulster campuses and has a very strong academic
profile in the business discipline. Business school is also a leading provider of entrepreneurial
education. Apart from these factors, the location of the campus also makes education
economical as the cost of living is less compared to other parts of the UK.
Why the UK?
The United Kingdom has an excellent cultural atmosphere and highly developed commercial
sector, as well as sophistication in the humanities and areas of scientific and technological
advancement. Also, the UK’s education system has a very good reputation around the world for
being practical, modern and desirable. Students from different parts of the world come to study
in the UK to exploit the advantage. This gives me a great opportunity to get exposure to the
international market and access the global network. Universities in the UK design their MBA
courses to prepare the students professionally equipped for the challenges of the global market.
Also, universities of the UK are regularly inspected to ensure they uphold the high standards set
by the govt. Employers value UK qualification due to the focus placed on practice skills.
To summarize, considering the advantages, studying MBA in the UK satisfies me more than any
country with its in-depth study in business with management.
