GUIDELINES: GROUP DISCUSSION- LD and IoS (20 marks)

Different criteria for evaluation of GD:


1. Content (5 marks): bring concrete content allotted content on the topic allotted. How
relevant, significant the content is- shall be considered.
2. Communication (5 marks): how do you put your point across
3. Analysis (5 marks): use your skills to analyse and critically examine the points and sub-
points being spoken of. Can refer to different authors, decisions of Courts: both Indian and
Foreign.
4. Others (5 marks): Agreeing and disagreeing with others views, time management, as a
team member how do you react and behave. 
Total marks: 20

Time:
The total duration of the GD will be 45 minutes. 
1. Presentation Round- Each member of the team speaks for 1.5 minutes (compulsorily).
Duration: 15 minutes
2. Open Discussion Round- Argue, agree, disagree, analyse and criticize- the topic can be
expanded.
Duration: 25 minutes 
3. Concluding round- either can be done individually or it can be done by one member of the
group. Each member can take 30 seconds to speak in this regard.
Duration: 5 minutes

Topics:
Will be assigned by Fakkiresh sir, in a day or two.
At least 5-6 days will be given to the first group to prepare.

Please note:
● It is the duty of the group to come together and assign each sub-topic to each member
for the Presentation Round (Round 1).
● There shall be no questions asked within the GD. There might be questions asked
after the GD concludes. (for 5-10 minutes).
