The document outlines the steps to configure Quality of Service (QoS) on a network device to prioritize different types of traffic.

The steps include selecting port-based classification mode, creating profiles to map DSCP values, assigning profiles to ports, setting queue parameters like number and weights, and applying the profiles.

Profiles are created by editing profile settings for DSCP mapping, scheduling, weights and lengths. They are then assigned to Ethernet and modem ports.

iPASOLINK VR QoS Configuration on Robi Network

Configuration Process

➢ Step-1: Provisioning>QoS/Classification setting>Classify Setting> Classification mode>Port

Based QoS Mode.
➢ Step-2: Edit Profile>Profile(Port)1>DSCP> Classify Priority mapping As per attached excel
sheet.
➢ Step-3: Assign Profile(Port)1 on used Eth port & Modem >Transparent to Profile(Port)1.
➢ Step-4: Default Port Priority will be zero>Priority Overwrite will be unchecked.
➢ Step-5: Shaper setting>Number of Queue:8 Class QoS>VLAN Shaper: Disable.
➢ Step-6: Edit Profile>Profile No:1>Drop Mode: WRED.
➢ Step-7: Edit Profile>Profile No:1>Drop Mode: WRED>Scheduling asper attached> DWRR
Weight: as per attached> Queue Length: As per attached.
➢ Step-8: Edit Profile>Profile No:2>Drop Mode: WRED>Scheduling asper attached> DWRR
Weight: as per attached> Queue Length: As per attached.
➢ Step-9: Apply Profile 1 on used Eth Port.
➢ Step-10: Apply Profile 2 on used Modem Port.

Queue Profile Creation (1/3)
Step-6: Edit Profile>Profile No:1>Drop Mode: WRED.

Number of Queue: 8 Classes QoS

We created 2 profile. One for Eth port &

another for Modem. All of the Eth port are
1Gbps so no need to large buffer.

Queue Profile Creation (2/3)
Step-7: Edit Profile>Profile No:1>Drop Mode: WRED>Scheduling asper attached> DWRR Weight: as per
attached> Queue Length: As per attached.

Number of Queue: 8 Classes QoS

DWRR Weight: NEC support only numeric value. Percentage calculation:100%*A/(A+B+C+D+E)
