I am writing to inform you about the inconvenience I experienced during my stay at your
hotel-Imperial, in room no. 302, from 21st August, 2020 to 23rd August, 2020.

The weather was very hot during that period. When I turned the air conditioner on in my
room, I realised that the room is not getting cooler. Subsequently, I asked hotel staff for help
but, they could not do anything and no other room was available.

Consequently, I had to keep the window of my room open and had to rely on natural air.
However, due to street noises keep coming from the window, I could not sleep properly the
whole time.

I have been staying in your hotel every time I visit Delhi for last five years. Therefore, this
time also my expectations were high. But I was too disappointed by the service I received. I
want you to take precautionary measures and make sure that customers do not have to face
such type of inconvenience in future.

Due to exponential growth in the field of communication technology, there is a drastic

change in people’s way of communication. Thus, I completely agree that modern
communication has made it obsolete to write letters.

In old days, letter writing was a major communication channel for a long distance
communication. During those days, sending letter someone used to take several days. But
now a days, Mobile communication has made it just a click away. The message can be sent
in few seconds, irrespective of its forms.

Moreover, Letter writing is more prone to security breaches than digital communication. A
letter travel through many hands before reaching in the hand of receiver. Thus, it is difficult
to keep the information confidential. Whereas digital communication technology resolves
the privacy issue completely through encryption.

In addition, digital communication is more efficient and environment friendly compared to

letter writing. For instance, in case of group communication, letter writing consumes a lot of
time and paper resources. While with help of digital marketing we can send a message to
many people at time within a few seconds. Moreover, it do not require us to write the same
message again and again.

To conclude, letter writing is gradually vanishing as a mean of communication due to

revolution in communication technologies. Although, there are some occasions like
invitation, wishes, etc. when people prefer to send letters in a traditional way. But it is also
gradually, taking digital form. Thus, it is just a matter of time when letter writing, a
traditional method of communication will vanish and people will get adapt to ways of
modern communication.

Dear Neighbours,

I am writing to inform you about the noises from my house. The recent noises are the result
of wood work going on in my house. I have recently purchased this house and it needs
refurnishing. According to weather forecast report, the monsoon will begin next week. Thus,
I have very few days left to get the refurnishing done before we move in. So, the carpenters
were working overtime to finish the work on time.

Firstly, I would like to apologise to all of you for disturbing your peaceful time at home. I
hope you will understand my circumstances and forgive me.

I have instructed the carpenters to finish the work by evening. I have also requested them to
do the noisy tasks in the afternoon as most of the people are in the office during those
hours. I will try my best to minimize the occurance of noise during evening time.

In the current era, advertisements has become an inseperable part of our life. We find
advertisement wherever we go and whatever we do. As a result, some people believes that
advertisement creates an urge to buy things while some believe that they just inform us
about the various product which can help us.

Advertisement has become very important part of marketing. Now a days, advertisements
are created in such a way that people who watch it feel that they really need that product.
For instance, many pharma companies advertise about their vitamin supplements by saying
that it will keep us healthy and will improve our energy level. But the truth is that healthy
life depends on our daily diet and lifestyle. Therefore, we should ensure that we eat
vitamins and mineral enriched food. However, the advertisements of vitamin supplements
makes people believe that by taking vitamin supplements they can live a healthy life even if
their diet and lifestyle is not healthy. This kind of advertisements are misleading the people.

Additionally, many advertisements also try to pursue kids in a misleading way. For example,
some junk food company offer toys with their food packs. This type of advertisements
encourage kids to eat more junk foods. Consequently, we see many children who are
suffering from obesity.
However, advertisement also help us to know about the various products in the market.
Advertisement also help us to compare different products and their unique features. It also
help us to understand how to use a particular product to make the things easy.

In conclusion, advertisements are great source of information to know about different

products in the market. But, most of them are also created to pursue the buyers. Thus, most
of the time we find it misleading.

Smacking children is the best form of discipline. To what extent do you agree or disagree.

The use of physical punishment to control children's behaviour is debatable. Some people
claims that physical punishment is the most effective way to control children's behaviour.
This essay will argue why physical punishment is not the most effective way to control
children's behaviour.

Parents think of many ways to discipline their children. Many parents have a misconception
that smacking children for the bad behaviour will discourage them to repeat it. The reson
behind such misconception is that it is the fastest way to take situation in control. For
example, if a child is speaking bad words in a public place, parents can immediately stop
him/her by smacking. Owing to the fact, it is normal for the parents to choose this method
for faster solution.

Many parents fail to understand the adverse effect of smacking in long term. Unfortunately,
physical punishment does not solve the behavioural issues in children. In fact, it makes it
worse. Studies have shown that children who grow up in households where they are
regularly subjected to smacking and other forms of physical violence are more likely to grow
into rebellious teenagers. Of course, when parents spank their children, this is not the end
result they are hoping to achieve.

This essay argued that physical punishment traumetise the children and it has long term
adverse effect on children. In my opinion, smacking children is an absolutely unacceptable
approach to discipline them.

Some people believe they should keep all the money they have earned and should not pay
tax to the state. To what extent do you agree or disagree.

The concept of taxation is always debatable. Some people claims that it is better to keep all
the income with us rather than giving it to the government as tax. This essay will argue why
it is our moral duty to pay taxes to the government.
Let us see why people do not want to pay taxes. Many people are dissatisfied with the
services provided by the government. These people blame government for poor
infrastructure, unemployment, and poverty. Moreover, many of them find tax system very
complex. Indeed, tax revenue is misused in some or other way in every country. Moreover,
many times it is found that tax slabs are not equal. Owing to the fact, people do not feel
that it is unethical to go for tax avoidance or tax evasion.

The government run the country by the taxes it collect. The tax money collected by the
government is used to provide basic amenities and services to the citizens. Avoiding taxes
can be detrimental to the country's development in long run. According to a recent study,
only 20% of the population in India are paying taxes regularly. As a result, Indian
government is not able to provide good infrastructure and services to the public. Overall,
the idea that people should keep all the income to themselves rather than giving it to
government as taxes is ill-informed and could lead to a far worse outcome for the country.

This essay argued that people who are against paying taxes have a flawed understanding
and they underestimate the affects of what they believe. In my opinion, paying taxes is an
absolute imperative that is entirely justified despite the occasional risk of tax revenues being
misused.
