Inhalation: Inhalation at ambient temperature is unlikely, due to the low vapour pressure
of the substance.
Symptoms: irritation of the respiratory ways due to the exposure to the excess
of smoke, mist or vapours.
In case of symptoms caused by the inhalation of smoke, mist or vapours: take
the person from the dangerous area and transport it to a safe, quiet and well-
ventilated area.
In case the victim is no longer conscious and:
- does not breathe – make sure that breathing is not obstructed and perform
artificial respiration (by qualified personnel only). If necessary, perform external
cardiac massage and immediately get medical assistance.
- breathes: place the person in a recovery positions. If necessary, give
oxygen. Get medical assistance if breathing is difficult.
Skin contact: Symptoms: skin drying. Irritation may occur in case of repeated or prolonged
exposure. May cause burns in case of contact with the product at high
temperatures. Remove the contaminated clothes and footwear, and safely
dispose them. Wash the affected area with water and soap.
Get medical assistance if skin, irritation, swelling or reddening occur and persist
.
When using equipment operating at high temperatures, product
subcutaneous injection may occur (if applied). If lesions caused by product
subcutaneous injection occur, immediately get specialized medical assistance.
Do not wait for the symptoms to be developed.
For minor burns: cool the skin area. Keep it under cold water for several
minutes, until pain diminishes. However, avoid body hypothermia.
Do not put ice on the burned skin. Carefully remove the clothes which did
not adhere to the burn. DO NOT try to remove the parts of clothes stuck to the
burn, but cut around it.
Get specialized medical assistance whenever serious burns occur.

Regulation (EU)1272/2008
Eye contact: Symptoms: light irritations (non-specific). May cause burns in case the contact
with the product occurs at high temperatures.
Rinse the eyes with plenty of water, for several minutes. Remove contact
lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing.
Get specialized medical assistance (ophthalmologist), if irritation, sight blurring
or eye swelling develop and persist..
If hot product is splashed into the eyes, rinse and cool immediately with cold
water to dissipate heat. Immediately get specialized medical assistance
(ophthalmologist), for evaluation and treatment in case of accident.
Ingestion: Symptoms: some symptoms may occur or not. Nausea and diarrhoea may occur
if it is assumed that product was aspirated.
Immediately get specialized medical assistance and transport the victim to
the hospital. Do not wait for the symptoms to be developed.

5. FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES
5.1 Fire-fighting means
and gases, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and non-identified organic and
inorganic combustion products.
Avoid spraying hot surfaces or electric circuits with the product. Product losses
from pipes under pressure generate product mist.
Note: Take precautionary measures collecting the residues and the water resulted from
fire extinguishing, in order to avoid spillage in waters, sewage or drinkable water
supply system.
General information: Stop or contain the spillage directly at the source, if this operation can be safely
performed. Avoid direct contact with the spread material.
Stay on the same side with wind direction.
Keep the non-involved personnel away from the area where the release
occurred. Immediately alert the emergency teams.
As an exception, in case of smaller releases, any action should be evaluated and
advised, if possible, by qualified and competent personnel for emergency
situations.
It is recommended to eliminate all of the ignition sources (e.g.: electrical
conduits, sparks, fires, flames).
If necessary, notify the competent authorities, according to applicable national
regulations.
Release in water:
In case of small releases in closed waters (e.g.: ports), contain the product
with floating barriers or other devices.
Collect the released product by absorbing it with specific floating absorbers.
If possible, big releases in open waters should be contained with floating
barriers or other adequate mechanical devices.
If this is not possible, control release dispersion and collect the product with
adequate mechanical equipment.
Before using dispersive agents, you should ask the opinion of a specialist
and, if necessary, the approval of the local authorities.
Store the collected product and other contaminated materials in drums or
adequate containers, to be recycled, recovered or for disposal, in compliance
with the national legislation mentioned in section 13.
Additional information: Recommendations regarding product release in water and soil are based
on the most probable release scenario for this product; however,
geographical conditions, wind, temperature and (in case of release in water)
waves, current direction and speed may influence a lot the selection of the
most adequate methods to be taken. This is the reason why the opinion of the
local specialists should be requested. Note: Local regulations recommend or
forbid the measures to be taken.
6.4 References to other sections: For safe handling information, see section 7.
For personal protective equipment, see section 8.
