(Session 2020 – 2021)
Project Work: Provinces of Pakistan
Choose any one of the four provinces of Pakistan. Write about
the different languages, weather conditions, food and dresses of
that province. You may draw / paste pictures in your scrap book
and make models. Your project will be displayed in school.
English
All written work to be done on loose sheets.
1. Write a short essay about Home Schooling during COVID-19.
2. Think of a person you like. Why do you like this person? What does he or she
do? Write a short paragraph about this person.
3. Find a recipe on cup cakes. Ask your mother to help you make them then ask
your family members to rate them. Make a list of the ingredients and write down
the steps to make them. Also give the feedback given by your family.
4. Write a short paragraph about what you want to be when you grow up and why
have you chosen that profession.
5. Make animal picture cards. (Make at least four).
· Draw or find pictures of any animal.
· Write the name of the animal below the picture, and describe the animal in
(60-70 words)
6. Compile and write a list of 10 similes using ‘as’ or ‘like’.
Mathematics
1. Learn and write the multiplication tables from 1-10.
2. Practice writing number words from 1-500.
3. Addition and subtraction within 10,000 (5 sums weekly)

4. When going shopping with your parents, choose five items and try to add up the
prices mentally. Then, ask your parents to check your estimation.
5. Do the attached worksheets.
Integrated Studies
1. Recall what you had for your breakfast today. Ask your friend or any other family
member about his/ her breakfast. See how many food groups were present in
your and your friend’s breakfast. Draw and complete the following table.

Make your own food chart for a week, planning for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Try to compare it with the different food groups. Modify your eating habits if the
chart does not match the food groups. Try to include all the food groups in your
diet as it is important to have a balance diet to raise your immunity.
2. Name three things that spoil the environment. We can keep our environment
clean by making new things out of old ones or Recycling. Remember three Rs
(Reduce, Reuse and Recycle). Recycle an empty jam bottle and make a vase or
a pencil holder. What may happen to the environment if we do not follow the
three Rs? Write slogans about three Rs and make a poster about it.
3. Read Stepping Stones Book 3 chapters 1 and 2. Try to read them yourself.
Keep a record of your reading.
Note: A scrap book is suggested for all the activities and projects.
