Dynata-W@H Tech Setup Guide Version 5.5
This is a quick guide to help you get connected and ready to begin conducting market
research over the phone. Our system uses several different software technologies that
are installed or accessed through a browser on a laptop or desktop computer. Below
are the other requirements for a successful setup as you go through the following
connection guide:
You may have success using a computer with different components, but the above list is
what we have tested and verified will work best.
Before you begin the next steps, make sure your computer is plugged into the outlet
and network jack and that you have established a connection to the internet. Wired
internet connections will perform better than wireless internet connections. (Wireless
connections MAY NOT WORK AT ALL depending on the amount of JITTER in your
connection.) Grab your phone or other device capable of receiving texts and begin with
the first step on the next page.
Accessing the Dynata VPN – Global Protect
1. Before you attempt to login to any systems, make sure you have your workday ID that you
received in training and used to setup your Workday account. You will need your WORKDAY ID
and your existing login password. Please note that WORKDAY will require that you use your
workdayID@dynatacorp.com to login, but the other tools require that you ONLY input your
workday ID and that you exclude the @dynata.com domain.)
3. Enter your username and your password. (for the username, do not include the domain
@dynata.com for this step as mentioned above.)
4. Select TEXT MESSAGE option. Insert your phone number. Then click
AUTHENTICATE.
5. You will receive a text message with a code. Please enter the code and press AUTHENTICATE to
complete the authentication process.
6.
Once authentication is complete, move to the Palo Alto installation section next.
Please note: After the initial set up, all future logins to the MFA web portal will require your
mobile device for authentication. You MUST click APPROVE to log back into the MFA
Downloading software from Palo Alto – Global Protect VPN
Once you have successfully completed the setup of Microsoft Authentication you are ready to
download the software needed to access our network. Please enter the
URL https://gpcati.dynata.com into your browser and login with your Workday ID and
password. (please do not add @dynata.com to your user ID for this step.)
You will receive a text message on your phone that you will need to enter to verify that you
are a valid user:
Once logged in, you will see an option to select and download three different software items.
Two for Windows and one for Mac users. Please select the ONE that applies to your computer
and download and install the VPN software. Then go to the next step.
NOTE: If you are a MAC user, you may be required to grant approval of the software use on your
computer in the security settings.
• Please click on the system preferences in your tool bar at the bottom of the screen.
• Inside security and privacy, please click on the general tab near the top.
• At the bottom of that section there might be an option for you to approve the use of PALO
ALTO software on your computer. If that is there and you approve it, you may have to restart your
computer for it to let you set it all up.
Accessing the Dynata VPN – Global Protect

using a Windows machine, or in the upper right side menu if you are using a MAC.
