SUMMARY
According to Arnold Schwarzenegger's speech, he was talking about his life back
in Austria before coming to America. His parents wanted him to stay and work there and
have a regular life, but as he grew up, he didn't like Austria too much. He said he was
born for something extraordinary, something rare and something huge, not to become a
farmer and live in small farmhouses and small buildings. He was seeking to go to the
United States of America.
Besides, if you like anything, you've got to have a goal. If you haven't had a
A view of where you're headed, you're floating around, and you're never going
anywhere. When your vision is strong, and you know what your dreams are, you're
going to work tirelessly for that, and you're going to do everything and everything you
can to make it happen. Ok, whatever it takes.
In addition, Arnold spoke about the importance of getting a mission and a vision.
Often people don't know where they're headed because they don't have a clear vision
and a clear objective, just like Arnold. "I knew where I was going to go," he said. And
when you have an objective and a strong vision, it's all easy. When people still ask you,
"Why are you working so hard? "Just answer that; "I'm going to shoot for my targets."
That every action you take would make you closer to the target reached, to make the
goal a reality. He also said, "I went to London at the age of 20 and won the Mr. Universe
contest as the youngest Mr. Universe ever. And it was because I've had a target”.
Visualizing and moving after that makes it enjoyable. No matter what you do in life,
you've got to have a reason. That's why you need to have a strong vision and a mission
to make your life easier and not spend time on things you don't want.

ANALYSIS
1) The Introduction
By using this kind of story, the audience can feel the same feeling as
Arnold's back in Austria. If the audience thought that, the audience would
concentrate more and enjoy every word he said and make the audience feel
impatient and ready to hear his next words. He managed to astound the
audience by only sharing his story before he became a Hollywood star, and that
was just the introduction of his speech. In other words, his presentation was
strong enough to make the audience mesmerize.

2) The Body
The speech was well structured. Introduction, the body and the body. The
conclusion is well delivered. The audience assumed that Arnold I was very
professional and not afraid of failure because of how well his speech was delivered.
The audience can understand his entire speech clearly from the beginning to the
end. The speaker was given charge of the three essential sections of the speech,
the introduction, the body and the conclusion and the strategic position of each.
I. Issue:
Nowadays, people tend to be terrified of the disappointment that they are making a
strategy for all they're doing so they're not going to crash. They're scared that if they
fail, they'll lose everything and they won't be left with enough to survive on. People
still want to spend time now instead of practicing and developing their goals.
II. Solutions:
● Do not build Plan B and focus on Plan A as much as you can.
● Organize your time on a regular basis so that you can have time to build on
yourself and your dreams

3) The Conclusion
At the end of the expression, Arnold used an efficient process, which dissolve an
end. It generates an emotional appeal by fading step by step into a dramatic final
statement. The speaker said, "Don't care about losing, because when you're scared
of losing, you're going to get frozen. You feel rigid and you're not comfortable. In
order to do anything whether it's in wrestling or anything, it's just going to happen
when you're relaxed. Thus, rest, it's all right to crash. Let's just go ahead and give
everything you've got. That's what it's all about." This marked the end of his speech.
To emphasize the core point, he ended up with a quote—what that's it's all about.
The closing quote is effective since the urgency of the quotation is ideally tailored to
the voice. It captures well the core idea and the potential inference.
He made a dramatic point, too. "Don't be scared that it will fail, because good
people struggle a lot to get to where they are now." The assertion boosts the
audience's trust and spirit. That's more powerful because he said it in a persuasive
way, because it came from someone who was really good like him. It has given the
viewer the correct inflection.

4) Delivery Method
Meanwhile, the pitch is low but strong in a few pieces, such as "Don't be afraid to
fail, successful people fail all the time." This is helpful in building an inspirational
atmosphere in the hall and persuading the crowd that failure is the right road to
succeed in existence. However, the pace is too slow, making it too dull and
repetitive. The speaker used pauses in the correct section of the speech, but did not
stop while the crowd clapped. This is very upsetting, because she can allow the
audience some time to respond so that they won't miss some points.
There's a vocal range in his voice. He had improvements in the pace, pitch and
volume of the speaker. This change has added to the expressiveness and
usefulness of expression, generating an inspirational, energetic atmosphere. The
grammar is fine, but the voice is misarticulated. In the beginning, he said "I want"
instead of "I want to." He delivered a speech in the General American accent, which
is ideal because the crowd comes not only from the United States, but from all over
the world. It is also appropriate to use the common dialect so that the listener knows
and gets the ideas correctly.
8
she's meant to impress the crowd with her voice, not her look like it was a formal
event. He made minimal gestures, such as eye contact and facial expressions, in
order to connect the crowd. He looked at the crowd as he spoke about how loss
could not be overlooked and grinned at the presentation to give a positive
impression and create trust and calmness. His hand movements were not obsessive
in his voice. There was, however, a moment when he clapped his hand while
speaking. It was a bit distracting. During the greeting, he tried to make eye contact
with the crowd.
9
DISCUSSION
What's positive about the speech is that the speaker Arnold Schwarzenegger has
a nice appearance, a good use of words, a strong speech, a powerful conclusion
and a little sense of humor at the beginning. He really reveals his remarkable
abilities to convince people to do what will help themselves. They made the crowd
pay attention to the speech and get absorbed in it. They felt empowerment and the
spirit to work tirelessly to make their dream come true.
What's wrong with speech is that certain hand motions are not needed in speech,
such as clapping hands during a motivational speech. The sound of that is a little
annoying, so we may lose the argument. His voice is so heavy, too, that it's sort of
hard to hear what he meant without the use of subtitles. So, he was expected to give
the speech slowly and plainly so that it could be heard.
Our own view, overall, is that the speech is very strong and has left an
impression on the crowd. It strengthens the spirit of working hard to get what you
deserve and not to be scared of defeat. The details included in the body are solid
and give view to the viewer as to how hard work and never giving up will give you
big success in the future. Minor errors have not impacted the whole voice.
10
CONCLUSION
In conclusion, working tirelessly to make your dream come true is something that
needs to be introduced in younger generations now, so that we can contribute to
society. We should also make it known to younger and also older generations that
loss is not something that you should be ashamed of.
