    QUESTION:
                          Because we were studying about how we acquire our good and bad character as the
    discussion goes by, most of our topics came from the past or about Philippine history, culture, and
    character traits. Prejudiced writers during Spanish times branded or labelled the Filipinos as stupid and
    indolent, but they did not know the ability of the Filipinos to excel. Labelling theory is one of the many
    theories on how a certain person acquire his or her good and/or character. This theory states that there is
    no behaviour is intrinsically criminal, and behaviour becomes criminal if it is label as such. Do you
    believed that if you label a certain person will lead him/her to have a deviant behaviour? How?

    ANSWER: (EXPLAIN BRIEFLY YOUR ANSWER AT LEAST 10 SENTENCES) 

    No. I don’t believed that if you label a certain person it will lead him/her to have a deviant behavior ,
    Deviancy is not a quality of the act a person commits, but rather a consequence of the application by
    others of rules and sanctions to an offender. What makes something deviant is not what is done, but how
    people react to what is done. The only thing that deviant acts have in common is that they are labelled
    deviant by others. People react differently to the same gesture depending on the social context and it
    influences the label placed on the gesture. Perhaps an extreme example is the act of killing someone. In
    most cases it will be marked as murder: completely deviate. However, a war slaughter is normalized and
    can in fact be labeled heroic. However, if the murderer is not a member of a formal army, they will likely
    be called terrorists . future depends on the person, not because you label him it will cause them to have
    deviant behavior .
