    UNIT 11

    Hello, today I’m going to talk about the eleventh unit. In this unit one of
    the main topics is “Global warming” which is the main threat for the
    whole world. Nowadays the climate is changing faster than ever before.
    This rapid change, know as global warning is caused by the current high
    levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. It is produced when we
    burn oil, coal and gas. So, we must be careful with natural resources in
    order to prevent global warming.
    Then comes grammar material. It’s present perfect continuous tense.
    We can use the pr. Perfect continuous to describe repeated or
    continuous actions that continue up to now. We don’t use it with state
    verbs (like: know, be etc.)
    Then comes newspaper articles about packaging industry. From the
    articles we learn that it’s not enough to put packaging rubbish in a hole
    in the ground. Without sun, air and water, rubbish still exist hundreds
    of years. It’s a huge problem for the environment. So, we should cut
    down product packaging and set up recycle plants as in the UK. The
    articles were very interesting. They were full of phrasal verbs such as:
    go up, cut down, set up, and etc. we had to do exercises with use of
    these phrasal verbs too.
    Then comes exercises about question tags. We can use question tags
    when we think someone will agree with what we say or to check that
    someone has the same idea or opinion.
    The last chapter is “writing skills”. We learned how to write a report.
    This chapter was really helpful for me. To sum up, this unit was
    informative, interesting and important.
