1 Why did Donya Teodora oppose that Rizal study in UST?

Donya Teodora objected to the idea of sending Rizal to college for higher education because she
knew what had happened to Gom-Bur-Za. She said to her husband, "Don't send him back to
Manila; he knows enough." If he gets to know more, his head will be cut off by the Spaniards." Don
Francisco told Paciano to accompany Rizal to Manila despite the opposition of her mother." Rizal
himself was shocked by the resistance of his mother, whom he knew to be a woman of education
and culture.
2 How did the method of instruction in UST differ from that of Ateneo?

Jose Rizal was appalled by the antiquated method of instruction at this Dominican-owned
university, and by the racial discrimination of Dominican professors against Filipino students,
he decided to complete his studies in Spain. While Ateneo uses The Jesuitical system of
instruction was considered more advanced than that of other colleges in that epoch. Its
discipline was rigid and its methods less mechanical.

1 Try to recall if you have experiences related to time management.

No, These experiences helped me balanced my time in a relatively healthy way. I am able to live a
lifestyle that favors me as a college student since I have a lot of tasks to do like modules and my
own personal endeavors which is studying web development on my own free time.

3 Why will planning ahead and setting aside time to do assignments, to relax, to build and
friendships, help at home, and to participate in community activities be helpful to your becoming
successful in your different endeavors as individuals, family and community members, and
professionals in the future?

Planning ahead your tasks is one of the best things you can do to organize your life. Because once
you organize your day consistently you’ll become a more responsible and disciplined person while
being productive with your work. You may not complete all the tasks you planned out because of
some unfortunate events but you can also plan out the worst case scenarios which will make you
more stoic when something tragic happens and you will not have to worry too much. Planning
ahead also gives you clear picture of your priorities.

4 Did Dr. Jose Rizal practice proper time management? Support your answer by giving specific
example.

Dr. Rizal has demonstrated that he has been able to practice numerous things for weeks or months
in the discipline of time management. He demonstrated his study discipline and showed that if
someone is concentrated, motivated and able to learn something he will be able to learn and do it,
even though he is not good at it in nature.

5 Do you prioritize your schedule or Schedule your priority? Explain your stand.

I schedule my priority simply because not everytime the world favors our plans. For example I
planned to do my jogging every morning, but unfortunate event happened and it rained during that
time. What I would do is plan my priority, in this scenario my priority will be to get daily exercise.
Because it’s raining outside and I can’t jog, I’ll just do some indoor exercises. Meanwhile
prioritizing schedule only gives me pressure and anxiety which I do not like.

6 How can you counteract improper time management? Give at least five suggestions.

There are many ways to fix time management. But here are my ways of how I do fixed my time
management:
1. Try atleast 2 or more system of time management you can find on the internet, because there
is no ONE technique that works. Different techniques works from different people.
2. Record your progress on the results of your time management technique weekly or monthly.
For example, you decide to try the Pomodoro Technique. You must write take notes on what
result it gives you wether it is working or not.
3. Once you find the type of time management technique that work of your, STICK WITH IT
for a year.
4. Become as consistent as possible.
5. Try Journaling, It’s one of the best time activity I used that made my time management more
effective.
