    Environment

    We live in a consumer society. We do not maintain


    our things. We throw them and replace them with
    brand new ones. The over-consumption leads to
    the depletion of natural resources
    ● The ever increasing industrial activity results in air
    pollution and global warming
    ● Many factories discard their waste in local rivers and
    lakes in order to reduce the cost of their products;
    as a result the pollute the freshwater resources and
    poison all the food chain
    ● We need to take action from an early age to raise
    young people's awareness of environmental
    issues
    ● We have to organise local actions so as to have as
    more citizens as possible involved
    ● Think globally, act locally!
    ● Schools can organise 'plant a tree campaigns'
    ● People of all ages can participate in a beach
    cleaning event
    ● Carpooling brings neighbours together and
    strengthens their social bonds
    ● Public transportation is the most cost effective way to
    commute
    ● Small everyday green habits (like walking to school,
    or recycling all the paper we use) can have a huge
    beneficial impact on the environment
    ● Follow the three 'R” advice: Recycle, Reuse,
    Reduce
