INTRODUCTION TO FIRST AID COURSE

International SOS is the world leader in providing first response and emergency services,
which in turn has led to the designing of specialized first aid training courses in
compliance with international standards. The objectives of the courses are to build
confidence in participants' abilities and prepare them to make the best use of their skills
when it really matters.

While busy cosmopolitan cities are often home to world-class emergency services,
developing countries are often plagued by an acute shortage of services and facilities. It
is in developing countries where the need for First Aid competence is especially crucial.
During an emergency the first few minutes of care are crucial, effective first aid in those
initial minutes can be the difference between life and death.

With International SOS’ specially designed, ‘Introduction To First Aid’ courses your
nominated attendees will learn the priorities of first aid, Basic Life Support (BLS)
principles & approaches (DRABC), CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation - a simple
emergency procedure that used when someone stops breathing or the heart stops
beating), knowledge and skills that need to safely use AED, as well as another topics
such as choking, recovery position, basic management of bleeding, fracture, burn, sprain
and strain and prevention of disease transmission.
No prior first aid experience is necessary and courses are available in both English and
Vietnamese.

2
ONE-DAY FIRST AID TRAINING

Introduction

This one-day course is designed to ensure that attendees are equipped with the essential
basic first aid skills that needs to recognize and respond to cardiovacsuliar emergency
for adults as well as another topics such choking, airway and breathing emergency,
recovery position, basic management of bleeding, burn and sprain and strain.
Whether in a large city or a remote location of a developing country, the primary medical
care including ambulance services cannot be relied upon to mobilize at a moment’s
notice. Delays due to traffic problems or distance may require essential first aid skills to
be provided as a vital first response. The course is based on international protocols and
contains a high level of practical skills training.
International SOS First-Aid training (FAT) program provides not only updated
information, but also first aid practices, so that the initial first-aid can be given to the
victim until qualified medical assistance arrives.

In addition, we also focus on providing guidance and skills training to improve the
