✓ On March 13, 2020, Joy Manawari was shot and mortally wounded while resting outside Aling Toyang’s Eatery where she is working for. The killing was planned by Hector Zabala with the aid of Arturo Banlaoi and Emman Azarcon. Zabala promised that he would give Banlaoi a monetary reward amounting to ₱60,000 if he will kill Manawari, Banlaoi then killed Manawari because of Zabala’s promise and Azarcon served as the lookout. After killing Manawari, Banlaoi and Azarcon went to Andre Antonio, Banlaoi’s friend, telling the latter of the killing he did, and asked him to conceal the gun he used, and Antonio did so.

MURDER for the death of Joy Manawari, and sentenced to suffer the penalty of eight (8) years, eight (8) months and one (1) day of PRISION MAYOR medium as minimum to fifteen (15) years, six (6) months and twenty (20) days of RECLUSION TEMPORAL medium as maximum. 4. Andre Antonio is found guilty as an ACCESSORY in the crime of MURDER for the death of Joy Manawari, and sentenced to suffer the penalty of four (4) years, two (2) months and one (1) day of PRISION CORRECCIONAL medium as minimum to six (6) years and one (1) day of PRISION MAYOR medium as maximum.
