I. OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the period, the students are expected to:
a. identify the selected instrumental music of India being played
b. differentiate the characteristics of the categories of the instrumental music of India;
c. classify the given instrument as to the category of instrument where they belong;
d. showcase how these musical instruments being played.

B. MOTIVATION
The teacher will show a recent world map. Then, ask the students to locate the country of
India and answer the following question:
a. What comes into your mind when you hear the country of India?
C. ACTIVITY
The teacher will group the students into five groups. Present different pictures of musical
instruments then the students will classify if it is aerophone, membranophone, idiophone.
D. ANALYSIS
Lead the learner in the discussion of the five categories of the instrumental music of
India.
E. ABSTRACTION
With the same groupings, each group will be given an envelope containing word strips,
and pictures of a category of the instrumental music of India that will be arranged and discussed
by each group. They will be rated according to the following rubrics:

G. EVALUATION

determine the name of the pictures and its category. (20 items)
H. ASSIGNMENT
In a ¼ size cartolina, construct an output entitled, “The Importance of Instrumental
Music in a Certain Country”.
