    Hello!
    My name is Sam Lewis. Some of you may know me from my membership in Troop 93 and
    Venturing Crew 2286. I am working towards my Eagle Scout Award and need volunteers for my
    project.

    My Project
    My project is doing upkeep and development at Black Jack Battlefield & Nature Park. We will
    assemble and install benches using a design consistent with the site's vision and do cleanup in
    the campfire area. The campfire area is used for presentations, reenactments, and discussions.
    It is particularly for people and groups that cannot easily traverse the trails. We will coordinate
    with a naturalist to identify species that should be removed from the site. You can sign up for a
    2 hour shift or we would love to have you for all 4 hours.

    Getting there

    Black Jack Battlefield & Nature Park is located at 163 E 2000 Rd in Wellsville, Kansas. It takes
    about 45 minutes to get there from Prairie Village. Be sure to bring a water bottle, sunscreen and
    bug spray. We will provide water refills and a lunch at 1:00.
