EdCET-2019 Spot Guidelines
Sir/Madam,
Regarding Spot admissions, you are requested to give a detailed notification for the left over/dropout/cancelled seats
at the institutional level, if any, in one of the leading daily news papers of your region (Original News Paper to be
submitted) on or before 4th March, 2021 calling the candidates, who have qualified in TS Ed.CET-2020 to attend for
counseling at your institution on a particular day (the date should be specified in the advertisement itself by the
institutions). The cut-off date for Private B.Ed. College Managements to fill the left over vacancies is 10th
March, 2021. You should also mention in the notification, The Rank, Hall Ticket Number, Name, Methodology of the
Candidates and Allotted Category who did not report to the institution stating that his/her admission will be treated as
cancelled if he/she fails to report one day before the actual date of the Institutional Spot Admission. The vacant seats
may be filled by the candidates of the concerned category as per their merit in TS Ed.CET-2020 for admission
into B.Ed. The candidates should be insisted upon to produce all the original certificates before granting admission, and
one set of Photo copies should be submitted at the time of ratification of admissions with Principal signature. Any
deviation made in this regard will be viewed seriously and such admissions will not be ratified under any
circumstances. The qualifications prescribed in G.O Ms. No.92/98. and G.O. MS. No. 24, dated: 24/08/2017,
School Education (TRG) Department shall have to be strictly adhered to, as given below.
Note: The candidates admitted under spot admissions are not eligible for any Fee
Reimbursement / Scholarship.
Eligibility Criteria for B.Ed. course:
1. The candidates should be Indian Nationals.
2. The candidate should qualify in TS Ed.CET-2020.

Eligibility for admission and selection for methodology:
a) Candidates should have secured 50% marks either in the Bachelors Degree i.e. B.A. /B.Sc. /B.Sc. (Home
Science)/B.Com./B.C.A./B.B.M/BBA or the Masters Degree in relevant subject or any other qualification equivalent
there to. Candidates should have secured minimum 55% marks in B.E./B.Tech. with science, mathematics as one of the
subjects or any other qualification equivalent there to, are eligible for Mathematics and Physical Sciences
methodology. However, the candidates belonging to all other reserved categories i.e. S.C., S.T., B.C., (A.B.C.D.E) &
physically handicapped should have secured 40% marks in the qualifying examination.
Methodology Eligibility
Candidates with B.A. / B.Sc with Mathematics as one of the group subjects,
Mathematics B.E/B.Tech with Mathematics and BCA candidates with Mathematics at
Intermediate level as a group subject.
Candidates with B.Sc., who have studied Physics and Chemistry or allied subjects
under Part-II group subjects as shown in the Annexure, B.E/B.Tech with
Physical Sciences Physics and Chemistry subjects and BCA candidates with Physical Sciences
(Physics and Chemistry) at Intermediate level as group subject.
Candidates with B.Sc / B.Sc (Home Science) who have studied Botany and
Biological Sciences Zoology or allied subjects under Part-II group subjects as shown in the
Annexure, BCA students with Biological Sciences at Intermediate level as group
subject.
All candidates with B.A. /B.Com /B.B.M/BCA students with Social
Social Studies Sciences at Intermediate level as group subject.
English The candidates with B.A in Special English/English Literature/MA English.
Age Limit: The candidates should have completed the age of 19 years. There shall be no maximum age limit.
The seats earmarked for women candidates in OC/BC/SC/ST categories are to be offered first to women
candidates only. If women candidates are not available in that category, then the seats are to be offered to male
candidates. The women candidates are also eligible to opt for male seats (General seats) in the combined rank order in
any category (OC/BC/SC/ST) even after their own 1/3 quota of seats are filled.
If candidates (male/female) are not available in one reservation category, the seats are to be offered to the next
reservation category as mentioned below.
Example: 1. BC-E (Girl) → BC-E (Boy) → BC-A (Girl) → BC-A (Boy) →
BC-B (Girl) → BC-B (Boy) → BC-C (Girl) → BC-C (Boy) →
BC-D (Girl) → BC-D (Boy) → OC (Girl) → OC (Boy)
In case, seats reserved for BC category are unfilled even after exhausting all the candidates of BC-A,B,C,D
and E (following rules of conversion), such seats may be offered to OC Candidates. Managements are required to
follow the procedure given below in filling the unfilled seats.

According to the schedule given below, the spot admission seats are to be ratified by the convener. The model
proforma to be submitted after the institutional Spot Admissions are made, is enclosed herewith for ready reference
(Annexure-I). The details of Spot Admissions made are to be neatly typed in the Proforma and submit the same to the
Convener TS Ed.CET-2020 Admissions by the Principal / authorized staff member with ID proof for ratification by the
said date in accordance with the schedule positively. For clarification of doubts, if any, you are requested to contact the

The list of candidates admitted during the institutional spot admissions is to be submitted to the convener
TS Ed.CET-2020 (admissions) for ratification according to the schedule given below.

Further, you are requested to come along with required proper documents for the purpose, only on the date and

Processing Fee: Candidates have to pay a non-refundable processing fee of Rs.500/- for SC/ST candidates and Rs.800/-for
others at the time of Certificate Verification through RTGS/NEFT, in favour of the Convener, TS Ed.CET-2020 Admn., into
our A/C No.: 305412010000010 with UNION BANK, BARKATPUR, Hyderabad. (IFSC Code: UBIN0830542) and enclose
original RTGS / NEFT pay-in-slip with list of candidates for approval
