Enterprise Project Structure (EPS) :

Enterprise Project Structure (EPS) is the hierarchical arrangement of all the projects in your
organization. It is a group of projects that are categorized into certain groups. So in one EPS,
there can be of several projects. The presence of EPS makes it easier for a person or team to
arrange a project schedule in Primavera P6.
EPS has a Main/Root Node (The Enterprise) and several Nodes and Sub-Nodes describing the
various fields this Enterprise is involved in. Each project has to be included in an EPS node.

 In Primavera P6, a pyramid shaped icon (   ) represents an EPS.

 It allows the administrator to control who sees what projects and what permissions they
have when accessing those various projects
 The presence of EPS will also simplify the granting of project schedule access when
Primavera data management must be carried out by the team in a database on the
company’s server.
 Furthermore, different levels of EPS enable the project to be managed separately while
retaining the ability to roll up and summarize data to higher levels.
 Project portfolios is a feature in Primavera P6 that allows you to load up and implement
a small set or portfolio of projects in the EPS. The advantage is you only see what you
want to see and your computer’s memory requirements are significantly reduced.
