Proposed Research Topic: A Political thoughts of IBN KHALHUN, Arabic thinker and
philosopher.
Purposes:
M. dhaouadi (1990) assumed that ibn khaldun appeared as the most ideal philosopher,
who presents his thoughts very differently from others. His main focus was neither on
individualism nor religious belief; he basically emphasized the differences between dynasty and
cities that is covering political and social transformation(1). The concept of individualism alone,
necessary alone, and security alone is criticized by ibn khuldun; he believes in the division of
labor should be taken place in the society which forms a well defined political and societal
environment (2). I will explore what type of political and social philosophies are presented by
ibn khaldun with different philosophers in order to compare different perspectives (3).
Statement of the problem:-
To study the impacts of thoughts and behaviors suggested by IBN
KHALHUN Arabic thinker and philosopher on different societal factors.

Background:
I will perform my study in a group that is also interested in the collected works of of ibn
khaldun political thoughts and compare with different philosophers so that I can make a
difference among distinct philosophies and whether their statements are supportive or not (4).
This particular team is consisting of four men and a woman. Each team member will work on
different perspective comparison with ibn khaldun philosophy. He usually begins each day with
a concise lecture of (15to45 minute) (5). I will be present these three meetings in a week with
the overall duration of four weeks, and will continue to scrutinize their work for the time period
of 20 hours within the period of four week (6). My main focal point will be ibn khaldun
political and societal view; however, I will also discuss different perspectives of different
philosopher during their other research work process (6).
Scope:
To study the political view of IBN KHALHUN, Arabic thinker and philosopher and I
will compare it with different philosophies as well. I will engage in searching out different
findings over a four-week period, from 18 February to 22 March for about 20 hours among the
period of four weeks.
Hypothetical framework:
My guidelines would be generally followed by interpretive perspective, and distinctively
by Mahmoud Dhaouadi (1990) the founding father of eastern sociology. The main focus of
interpreting perspective is the meaning and the view point of the political theory of ibn khaldun
by Muhammad Mahmoud Rabi (7). I am exploring different perspectives in comparison to ibn
khaldun political view and philosophy. Therefore, suitable way to investigate the area by this
perspective is examination of conversation, plus conducting the interview of today’s
philosophers to understand the different perspectives (8).

Method:
I am proposing the following methods:
1. Conduct a literature review on political thoughts of ibn khaldun and different philosophers.
3. Interview different philosophers and collect old philosophers’ data with the targeted
perspective. The team members will clarify and provide deep insight into different views and
opinions (9). I will try to conduct those interviews right after dialogue of interest. However,
the discussions won’t be formal or controlled; there are different types of questions I will
inquire which are following (10). The broad-spectrum of the approach for the conducting
interviews is to initiate with wide-range of questions which followed-up by the interviewee’s
responses, to confine their significance of research and to avoid imposing the objectives of
my interview; I will raise different point suggested by Ibn khaldun.
