Mollusks come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes and have diverse traits such as shells, camouflage, venom, etc. They are the second most diverse phylum of animals after arthropods.

Mollusks employ various defenses like shells, camouflage, venom, etc. Shells provide protection for many mollusks while others like octopuses rely on camouflage, ink release, or venom.

Cuttlefish and octopuses are masters of camouflage. They can change their skin color and pattern instantly to match their surroundings and hide from predators or wait in ambush for prey.
