PHYSICAL
FITNESS is the
capacity of each
individual to
accomplished daily
task with alertness and
vigor.
ANTHROPOMETRIC
MEASUREMENTS
BODY MASS INDEX ( Weight)
BMI will help us to know the
nutritional status of each
student, whether they have
NORMAL WEIGHT, OVERWEIGHT
or OBESE, or UNDERWEIGHT or
MALNOURISHED.
STATURE (Height)
Accuracy in getting the height of
each student is very important to
be able to attain the correct BMI.
This can be done using the aid of
the tape measure.
SITTING HEIGHT
The distance from the
vertex of the head to
the supporting surface
on which a person is
sitting erect.
ARM SPAN – refers to
the length of your arm
from the tip of your right
middle finger to the tip
of the left middle finger
which are extended at
the shoulder level
against a firm wall.
TEST
FOR
MUSCULAR
FITNESS
Partial Curl-ups
It is a test for abdominal
muscle and good posture
because the hips are
properly aligned and the
students does not
experience back pain
particularly at the lower
back.
PUSH UP
It is a test for the upper
body muscle and arm
strength and endurance.
FLEXIBILITY
FITNESS
SIT AND REACH - is a
test for flexibility of the
hamstring muscles( Back
of the thigh) . The
purpose of this test is to
determine a healthy back
and prevent
hyperextension of the
knee.
SHOULDER STRETCH
Measures the
flexibility of the
shoulder joints.
