CBF, Inc. is using a batch shop process flow structure. Batch shop is a process structure that produces a moderate variety of standard products at relatively low volumes. This kind of structure is usually used in manufacturing electronic devices.The company conducts production on the basis of the average work size or typical orders, and then conducts the manufacturing process in batches to meet the specific requirements of each order. Because of persistent defects in the factory, the company manufactured 75 boards per batch in total to compensate for the 20% of the boards they normally reject in the process.
