Lincoln University College, Malaysia in collaboration with Visayas State University, Philippines is organizing the 4th International Conference on
Healthcare and Allied Sciences. The basic idea behind the conference is to make a platform for the distinguished dignitaries to exchange new
ideas and apply hands on experiences to build up new relationships in research. There is also a scope for future collaborations along with global
partners. Building up a strong relationship between industry and academia is also among one of the key factors. At the same time, the conference
will help to bridge the gap between Biologists, Health officials, Nurses, Medical professionals, Microbiologists, Pharmaceutical Scientists,
Physicians and other delegates.
The main focus of the conference is on the latest and most exciting findings in the following areas:

Dr. Aloke K Sarkar

Dr. Sarkar did his M.Sc (Zoology, Genetics) from the University of Calcutta and Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Cancer Biology
from Jadavpur University, Calcutta. He then moved to the University of Toronto and received his first postdoctoral training in
mouse genetics and Retroviral Insertional Mutagenesis (RIM) and cloned the first microRNA in Leukemia. He received
prestigious MRC fellowship in Canada. Later he moved to University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston and Baylor College
of Medicine, Houston TX and continued his research on RIM new/ novel gene discovery projects in Leukemia. At the same
time, Dr Sarkar was also involved in st udying mitochondrial dysfunction in cancer and disease models and awarded
prestigious SCCCB and NIH postdoctoral fellowships. In 2012, Dr. Sarkar joined as an Instructor (research faculty) and later
promoted to Assistant Professor in the Department of Experimental Therapeutics, University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer
Center, Houston, TX. Recently, Dr Sarkar developed an innovative approach to identify molecules to target cancer cell
mitochondria. Another goal of Dr Sarkar’s current research is to identify potential gene/pathway targets affecting cancer cell
survival, proliferation and angiogenesis for cancer therapy through RIM approach and identified and cloned several novel
and undisclosed roles of genes in driving multiple human solid and liquid tumors including T and B cell leukemias. His current
research is strictly focused on identifying molecular targets of these genes in order to discover potential regulators that would
help in designing strategy in future clinical trials. Dr Sarkar published several high-profile articles in premier cancer Journals.

Dr. Amel Dawod Kamel Gudia

Dr. Amel Dowod Kamel has more than 20 years of experience in the field of women health. She has attended more than
30 national and international conferences related to nursing and healthcare. Her area of specialty is maternal and
newborn health nursing. She is also an author of 5 books entitled, ˜Assessment of Common Types of Vaginal Infections
among Women; Early Bleeding during Pregnancy; Management for Primary Postpartum Hemorrhage; Evidence based
practice in clinical nursing and Critical thinking in nursing clinical practice. She is also among the editorial board members
and reviewer in several scientific journals both domestic and international and one of one of scientific committee of
domestic and international medical and nursing conferences. She was awarded the Best Teacher award three times and
the Best Thesis award at Cairo University. She was also awarded by faculty of nursing Cairo University for putting Cairo
University as one of the partners of global science & technology forum conferences (GSTF) (Singapore).

Dr. Joel Rey Ugsang Acob

Dr. Joel Rey Ugsang Acob is the Dean of the Faculty of Nursing in Visayas State University, Phillipines. After serving for
three years in the Visayas State University - first as a Research Development and Extension Coordinator of Nursing for
two years and then as the College Secretary for a year, Dr. Joel Rey Acob was appointed as the new Dean of the College
of Nursing. He began his nursing career as a staff nurse in a government hospital for less than two years and then
transferred to a private institution where he served as a clinical instructor for nearly seven years. While working, he took
up and finished Master of Arts in Nursing in Cebu City’s Southwestern University and then Doctorate in Nursing in St. Paul
University in Tuguegarao. Despite his academic credentials, his track record in research studies and years of experience
are praiseworthy.

Prof. Dr. Niranjan Nayak

Dr. Nayak has 42 years professional experience from these 29 years he served as a teacher. During his professional
career he holds many prestigious post such as Professor of Microbiology-Manipal College of Medical Science Pokhara
Nepal, Professor and Head, Department of Microbiology, Santosh Medical College and Santosh University, Ghaziabad,
India, Professor of Microbiology at AIIMS and so on. Dr. Nayak was awarded with Bronze Medal for the 2nd Best
Research Work at P.G.I.M.E.R., Chandigarh, India in the year 1986 and was also awarded with Silver Medal for securing
the highest mark in the M.D. Examination at P.G.I.M.E.R. Chandigarh, India in the year 1987. Dr. Niranjan Nayak has
more than 70 publications in national or international journals. He also has more than 40 publications in the form of
abstracts. He served as principal investigator in many research projects such as “Slime production as a marker virulence
in Staphylococcus epidermides isolated from bacterial keratitis” – AIIMS, Standardization of Antifungal susceptibility
testing for filamentous fungi and characterization of drug sensitive and drug resistant fungal isolates in mycotic keratitis”
ICMR grant Feb 2005 – Jan. 2007. He also worked as principal investigator in projects “Implications of microbial biofilms
in chronic rhonosinusitis and orbital cellulitis” AIIMS grant and so on. He was elected President of SIHAM in the SIHAM
congress held at Coimbatore from 10-12 January 2014. He is also a life time member of IAMM, IAPM, AIOS, API, and
other prestigious organizations.

Prof. Dr. Santhna Letchmi Panduragan

Prof. (Dr.) Santhna Letchmi Panduragan was formerly from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia where she was much
involved as a lecturer and a research supervisor for both Nursing and Medical students. She was also sent to review the
nursing curriculum in Sa’naah, Yemen. She is also a life member of the MAEMHS society Malaysia. She was also
involved in the personal and Professional training of the Medical students in University Kebangsaan Malaysia. She
attained her Masters from Monash University, Australia and Her PhD was in Community Education and Development
from University Putra Malaysia. Her expertise is in qualitative research. She is also a consultant for the KDU college
Penang and at present is with Lincoln University College for the past 4 years. She is much involved as a lecturer and as a
research supervisor for both Masters and PhD students.

Prof. Dr. Smriti Mani

Prof. (Dr.) Smriti Mani was the founder Principal of Govt. College of Nursing, Burdwan, WB, India. She has been initiated
BSc. and MSc Nursing program developed an area with family folders in rural community of India. Written Maternity
Record Book for students, Bengali Manual on IUCD with Govt. of WB State Nodal Officer for IUCD training. She is
Member of West Bengal Nursing Council, Member of Examination cum Syllabus Committee, HR Board, Swasthya
Samiti, Burdwan MCH Rogi Kalyan Samiti. She is also Examiner, Paper setter, Adjudicator, Scrutinizer of various
universities. Member and Convenor of Board of Studies for MSc. and BSc Nursing, West Bengal University of Health
Sciences, India. She has several Publications in International and National journals in her credit. Participated as resource
person, trainer, in various programs of TNAI and INC 3. GFATM Trainer 14. Attended and presented paper in International
conferences, acted as resource person/participant 15. Attended and presented qualitative and quantitative research
related papers in various international, national and state level conferences. She has also conducted and supervised
more than 30 research works. Perform various social activities such as distribution of clothing to poor, health camp in
tribal area with club, NGO and Buddhist Welfare Mission.
