Introduction
The word “Entrepreneur” has been taken from the french
language “entreprendre” which means between-taker or
go-between (i.e) to undertake.
In the early 16th century, it was applied to those who
were in military expeditions, then in 17th century , it was
extended to cover civil engineering activities. In 18th
century, it was used to refer economic activities by
Richard cantilon.
Definition
A person who buys factors of production at certain
prices with a view to selling his product at uncertain
prices in future.
