Narrative Report

During this pandemic, I was nervous and enthusiastic of what will be the

alternative methods in doing our work immersion. I thought that we will have the same

experience as the past Grade 12 students but I was wrong. Instead we were given a

task, a research in regards with our strands. I was frustrated at first because I won’t be

able to have an on hand experience in working in the Rural Health Unit. I want to

experience all of those things that the past Grade 12 students experienced but it is

impossible because of the situation. For my own sake, I set aside my negative thoughts

and kept moving forward for I will be able to perform my task at the greatest peek of my

abilities. I showed my teacher, that I am worthy and responsible in doing and performing

the given tasks.

During the making of the research, I forced myself to be productive and be an

active leader that will guide the fellow group mates. I am a very individualistic person, I

like to do things in my own and in my own way. Perhaps, we need to do this by group, I

have changed my perspective of doing things. As a result, I am more productive as ever

and now me and my group mates have a give and take relationship in terms of opinions,

ideas and work. As we have worked together for the past few days, I was really

surprised that most of them were not responding to my chats in our group chat in

messenger. I was always left on read, I always wondered and pondered, if I was not a

good leader to them because I was not able to influence them by my means of doing

things, they were more like of a procrastinator. But I won’t make that happen again, so I

always reminded them, chat them and as well as assign them to various task for them
to be productive. I really utilized my fellow group mates because it would be easier and

our work will be finished before deadlines. We were ahead of time in the making

because I told them that we will finish the task earlier than expected in order for us to

have a huge ample of time to relax and have a peace of mind. All of them agreed in my

opinion. In the end of the day of working, I always reward myself with food and do a little

low-impact workout to ease my body.

It was not that tiring because I always utilize my time instead of procrastinating. I

was able to finish all my task before the time and I was able to do my house

chores/tasks as well. Throughout this journey I had developed my multitasking skill, my

time management and communication skills as well. I also learned that life is like a

research, it also had processes and stages in order to be completed, just like us we

start from the very beginning and start our way up to the finish line. There may be

hardship and challenges that we may encounter, some of us will succeed and some of

us will fail but failing is not a hindrance to achieve our greatest desires, it is more of a

level or another challenge that we need to conquer.

During the last few days of the making of our research, I saw a different version

of me a new and improved me. For a short time, I had developed and discovered new

skills that I thought that I was not capable of in the first place. Now, I can say that I am

able to pursue my future course in college without hesitation for now I am able to

surpass my limits and venture into new things far from my reach.
