MTech Presentationfeb19

1) The student conducted numerical simulations of fluid flow and heat transfer for a single cylinder and tube banks considering radiative participating gases. Comparisons were made between numerical and analytical results. 2) Simulations were performed for laminar and turbulent flow over a cylinder, and for tube bank flow. Results included heat transfer coefficients and temperature contours. Correlations were developed for the single cylinder and tube bank. 3) Future work includes additional tube bank simulations and completing the thesis. The major challenges are the additional time needed for combined convective and radiative simulations. No additional time beyond the deadline is required to complete the project.
