passed out of 4 and gave DMC a 50% performance. Overall performance of DMC was at 58.80%. Among the three
schools offering RT program in Region IX (Brent, DMC, UZ), DMC has the highest performance.
3. The School of Hospitality Management attended the Kumbira Competition in Cagayan De Oro last August 14-16, 2019
and the department won Diploma Award for both Chef Master and Flairtandeem categories that were competed by over
18 teams from different HRM schools in Mindanao.

8. The in-service training of the Academics Department to all College Faculty Members was held last July 31, 2019 and the
facilitators / topics were:
a. Dr. Dino Joey L. Cordova - Contemporary Teaching Strategies
b. Mrs. Marites Hussin – Updates on Research and Publications (Re-echo of the seminar conducted by the
Asian Association for Interdisciplinary Research)
9. Caregiving Faculty, Mrs. Terevic Belmonte and Mrs. Rose Alarin, just finished and completed the TM (Trainor ’s
Methodology) under TESDA. This will make an additional strength for the department.
10. The College conducted a seminar on Depression, Neglect, and Abuse among 1 st and 2nd year levels last September 11,
2019. There were more than 350 students attended together with the student leaders of all departments. The facilitator
was Dr. Orpah Marasigan of Hope Alive Philippines.

extension partner of the College of Computer Studies for their COD training activities. The department conducted Basic
Computer Literacy training among the members of the 5 th IB last September 13-14, 2019. The said activity was just the 1 st
phase only of the whole training program.

B. Plans for improvement / Upcoming Events

NORSU but a Dipolognon) to be the program head for Pharmacy Department come 2nd Semester.
2. Founder’s Celebration will be on October 24-26, 2019 with the theme: YOUR sustainable FUTURE BEGINS in caring for
Mother Earth HERE and now. The different departments will be representing the animals in Amazon.
3. The College would like to propose to the Board for purchase of 4 LED TV units to be installed in CAS 205-208 and
another 6 LED TV units to be installed in NB 301-303 and NB 306-308 before 2 nd semester begins this January. Current
DMC college students are more inclined to visual presentations during their classes. Only 2 MMRs are operational for
College and it is not enough.

C. Issues / Concerns

1. The Internet connection of the school is down for more than a month now and it is highly recommended by all
departments that it should be immediately fixed as it affects the local system for advisement / subject loading for students,
generating class list, etc. Faculty and student research of the topics for their classes and e-mail communication are also
affected. Students are also complaining that they cannot maximize their fee for their individualized internet access due to
no connection.
2. The deficiencies that were identified by CHED in the paramedical programs need to be accomplished by January 2020.
The major issue is that all coordinators of AMS are not MA degree holders yet but all of them have CAR status but still
CHED would consider the status as non-compliant. Faculty members are not also MA degree holders which is a basic
requirement to teach in College. But if DMC will strongly enforce this criterion for hiring, then nobody will be absorbed to
teach given the limited human resource in the city.
