Statement of Purpose
Why I am Fit for the Program
I am fit for the program because I have a master's degree in critical care and a volunteer
International Medical Relief. In addition, I have experience in health management since I was
hired as a logistic director and an emergency coordinator in the International Public Health
Corps, and I have experience as a Health Commissioner adviser for the Senath of Puerto Rico.
However, I have good leadership skills and outstanding interpersonal communication, which will
allow me to communicate with my staff effectively.
Experiences Either Professional or Academic that have Led me to Pursue a Doctoral
Degree in Critical Care
First, I have attended a nursing school to acquire a nursing license and become a
registered nurse; then, I have advanced in master’s degree in critical care. Through my voluntary
services, I have acquired letters of recommendation while gaining more experience.
Volunteer work in the involvements of my application and how they have aided in
the preparation of my program
I volunteered at the International Medical Relief, where I offered clinical nursing services
to the population affected by disaster basing on the accepted international ethics. I could also
make sure that every patient was accurately registered for case management and reporting. In
addition, I offered health education and sterility promotion to patients based on their diagnoses
and comorbidities like hygiene, diet, disease prevention such as vaccination, and physical
activity. In the International Medical Relief, I would monitor the diagnostic trends and report to
the supervisor as required as well as collaborating with other departments as required to make
sure smooth implementation and service integration (University of St. Augustine 2020).
My voluntary service at the red congress in Florida involved recording and evaluating
aggregate medical information. I would as well deliver top-quality care together with physicians.
Besides, I would collaborate with other public health staff to help the less served communities to
gain access to care. Finally, I would manage budgets for the public health programs. The above
experiences have helped me develop economic and sustainable strategies to prevent diseases and
minimize health risks in the community via evidence-based care and education.
Explanation of how my Educational Records Designate any Areas of Concern and
Strategy for Academic Success in the Program
My educational records indicate an area of concern where they support that I am
equipped with enough knowledge and skills required to confront the breadth and scope of my
program and therefore can employ interventions at the community level. To succeed
academically in this program, I require proper time management to avoid time blocks while
working on the program. In addition, I ought to thoroughly work on my topic of study while
consulting with my faculty adviser regularly (Walden University 2020).
How I Will Apply the Knowledge Professionally
I will offer direct care to patients, which involves assessing, managing, and evaluating
care. Besides, I will play a key role by directly influencing healthcare results via scientific
research. Finally, I will create an innovative care program that is sustainable and affordable to
every community member.

My Career Goals
One of my goals is to advance medical outcomes and patient gratification as I minimize
the budget cost. I also yearn to eradicate any chance for medical error through organizing
effective procedures and protocols through my role as a COO. On Health Commissioner adviser
career, I have a goal to educate and develop networks to advance health and health outcomes. As
an advanced practice registered nurse, I have a goal to coordinate patient care and offer further
healthcare services. I also have a goal to apply nursing practice to come up with evidence that
will guide the changing practice to improvise patient results through clinical research. Besides,
rather than opening a nonprofit organization to reduce health disparities for Asian a Latin
America, I will also develop advanced quality measurement and better improvement initiatives
for better care delivery to the patient population and further address the needs of different
population groups.
How the Program and Curriculum help me Achieve my Career Goals
In attaining my career goals, this program and curriculum help me in delivering practice-
based training, focus on high-level specialty skills. On research, skills help me realize the above career
goals. Besides, my program emphasizes areas that greatly support nursing leadership, such as system
management which highly contribute to attaining my career goals.
Quantitative Background and Abilities
My quantitative contextual and competencies in nursing practice and critical care reflect
more on the doctoral level and the conceptual basis of nursing, focusing on natural and social
sciences. They include the science of therapeutics, human biology, psychosocial sciences, and
the science of complex organizational structures. In addition, I focused on research associated

with the care and treatment of illnesses such as cancer and diabetes (DNP 2020). As an
emergency coordinator and logistic director, I pursued courses on assessment modules,
epidemiology of main health issues, and nutrition.
