    REVIEW: EXPOSITION OF MONOGRAPH.


    1. We are going mosque on Friday
    2. He is working next week.
    3. They are playing tennis on Saturday.
    4. She is cooking dinner tomorrow.
    PRESENT SIMPLE: PRESENT CONTINUOUS:
    - for timetables, programmes or - for arrangements (activities that
    people with plans that are fixed like you would note down on your diary)
    a timetable. EXAMPLE: I’m having dinner with Luke tomorrow.
    EXAMPLE: The film starts at 21:30.

    1. Look at Tanya’s diary and complete the dialogue:

    Tom: Hi Tanya! Are you free for lunch on Monday Thursday


    Monday? (12’00) meeting: (10’00) visit clients
    Tanya: No, sorry. I am meeting some clients Cyberdyn
    from Cyberdyn – the software company. Tuesday Friday
    Tom: How about Tuesday? (13’00) lunch with (19’00) eat out friends
    Tanya: Mike and I are having a lunch together or Tuesday. Mike
    Tom: Then we can go cycling on Wednesday Wednesday Saturday
    afternoon. (17’00) tennis with (11’00) spa with Alice
    John
    Tanya: Not on Wednesday. I play tennis with
    John. Tom: Are you doing something on
    Thursday morning?
    Tanya: Yes, I visit some clients at 10’00,
    and I’ll probably be with them all morning.
    Tom: What about Friday? We could go out for dinner.
    Tanya: So sorry. It’s Carla’s birthday and we are eating out to celebrate it.
    Tom: Why don’t we meet on Saturday morning?
    Tanya: I are eating out to the spa with Alice. We need to relax.
    But I’m free on Sunday.
    Tom: I’m not! I guess we can meet next week.
    I’ll call you next Sunday and we arrange something. See you.
    2. Complete the dialogue with the present simple or continuous:
    Will: Hi Sharon, Where are you going (you/go) with your suitcase?
    Sharon: I travel (travel) to New York on a business trip.
    Will: What time does your plane leave? (your plane/leave)?
    Sharon: My plane leaves (leave) at 17’45 and arrive (arrive) in New York at 19’00.
    Will: And, What are you doing (you/do) in New York?
    Sharon: I have a busy week there. I interview (interview) some job applicants, I take part (take part) in
    the selection process, and I visit (visit) the company branch in the city.
    Will: When are you coming (you/come back)?
    Sharon: Next Friday morning. Are you free on Friday evening? We could meet.
    Will: Why not? There’s a film I’d like to see at the
    cinema. Sharon: What time does the film start? (the
    film/start)?
    Will: It starts (start) at 19’30. I’ll pick you
    up.
    Sharon: O.K, sounds great. See you on Friday!

    3. Ask Lee about her plans for tomorrow night:

    b) (What time/the celebration/begin) What time does the celebration begin ? At eight o’clock.
    c) (How long/stay) How long do you stay ? Till midnight, probably.
    d) (go/alone) Are you going alone ? No, I’m going with my brother.
    e) (buy/a present) Are you buying a ? Yes, I’m buying a present, of course.
    f) (How/go) How do you go ? By bus
    g) What time/the bus/leave) What time does the bus leave ? At seven thirty.
    h) What time/go to bed) What time are you going to bed ? After midnight.
    Look at the pictures and write sentences

    PRESENT CONTINUOUS FOR FUTURE PLANS


    Look at Maria´s diary and write sentences. Use the Present continuous with future meaning, as in the example
