The world's largest bird is the ostrich. It comes from Africa and it can grow up to nine
feet. It can also weight up to 300 pounds. It has long and strong legs. Ostrich can run very
fast. It is also different from other birds because it only have two toes on each of its leg.

Lately, ostrich is getting very popular in Malaysia. A lot of farm have been opened and
ostriches are reared commercially. They are reared mainly for their red meat which is
very low in cholesterol. The meat of an ostrich is also low calories and is almost fat-free.
Their skins are also used to make wallets, bags and hand bags. Their eggs, the largest in
the world are turned into gifts.
