َ‫ُس ْب َحا َن َك اللَّ ُه َّم َو بِ َح ْم ِدكَ َت َبا َركَ ْاس ُم َك َو َت َعا َلى َجدُّكَ َولاَ ِإ َل َه َغ ْي ُرك‬
Glory and praise be to You, O Allah. Blessed be Your name and exalted
be Your majesty, there is none worthy of worship except You.

[Sunan an-Nasa'i 899]

َ‫ُس ْب َحا َن َك اللَّ ُه َّم َو بِ َح ْم ِدكَ َت َبا َركَ ْاس ُم َك َو َت َعا َلى َجدُّكَ َولاَ ِإ َل َه َغ ْي ُرك‬
Glory and praise be to You, O Allah. Blessed be Your name and exalted

،‫ْت َب ْي َن ا ْل َمشْ ر ِِق َوا ْل َم ْغر ِِب‬ َ ‫اللَّ ُه َّم َب ِاع ْد َب ْي ِني َو َب ْي َن َخ َطا َي‬
َ ‫اى َك َما َبا َعد‬
‫ اللَّ ُه َّم ا ْغ ِس ْل‬،ِ‫ض ِم َن ال َّد َنس‬
ُ ‫اللَّ ُه َّم َن ِّق ِني ِم َن ا ْل َخ َطا َيا َك َما ُي َن َّقى الثَّ ْو ُب الَأ ْب َي‬
‫اى بِا ْل َما ِء َوالثَّ ْل ِج َوا ْل َب َر ِد‬
َ ‫َخ َطا َي‬
O Allah! Set me apart from my sins (faults) as the East and West are set apart from each other and
clean me from sins as a white garment is cleaned of dirt (after thorough washing). O Allah! Wash off
my sins with water, snow and hail.

‫ض َعالِ َم ا ْل َغ ْي ِب َوالشَّ َها َد ِة َأن َْت‬ َّ ‫اللَّ ُه َّم َر َّب ِج ْب َراِئي َل َو ِمي َكاِئي َل َو ِإ ْس َرافِي َل ف َِاط َر‬
ِ ‫الس َم َو‬
ِ ‫ات َوالَأ ْر‬
‫ُون ا ْه ِدنِي لِ َما اخْ ُت ِل َف فِي ِه ِم َن ا ْل َح ِّق بِِإ ْذنِ َك ِإن ََّك‬
َ ‫َت ْح ُك ُم َب ْي َن ِع َبا ِدكَ فِي َما كَانُوا فِي ِه َيخْ َت ِلف‬
ٍ ‫َت ْه ِدي َم ْن َت َشا ُء ِإ َلى ِص َر‬
‫اط ُم ْس َت ِقي ٍم‬
O Allah, the Lord of Gabriel, Michael, and Israfel, Originator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of
the unseen and the seen, you judge between your servants in that over which they differ. Guide me,
by your will, in what they differ over regarding the truth. Verily, you guide whomever you will to the
straight path

َ ُ‫فَا ْغ ِف ْر لِي ُذنُو بِي َج ِمي ًعا ِإنَّ ُه لاَ َي ْغ ِف ُر ال ُّذن‬

‫وب ِإلا َّ َأن َْت َوا ْه ِدنِي لَأ ْح َسنِ الَأخْ لا َِق لاَ َي ْه ِدي‬

ْ ‫لَأ ْح َس ِن َها ِإلا َّ َأن َْت َو‬

‫اصر ِْف َعنِّي َس ِّيَئ َها لاَ َي ْصر ُِف َعنِّي َس ِّيَئ َها ِإلا َّ َأن َْت َل َّب ْي َك َو َس ْع َد ْي َك َوا ْل َخ ْي ُر‬

َ ‫ُكلُّ ُه فِي َي َد ْي َك َوالشَّ ُّر َل ْي‬

ُ ُ‫س ِإ َل ْي َك َأ َنا بِ َك َو ِإ َل ْي َك َت َبا َرك َْت َو َت َعا َل ْي َت َأ ْس َت ْغ ِف ُركَ َوَأت‬
‫وب ِإ َل ْي َك‬
I turn my face in complete devotion to One Who is the Originator of the heaven and the earth and I
am not of the polytheists. Verily my prayer, my sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, the Lord
of the worlds; There is no partner with Him and this is what I have been commanded (to profess and
believe) and I am of the believers. O Allah, Thou art the King, there is no god but Thee, Thou art my
Lord, and I am Thy bondman. I wronged myself and make a confession of my Sin. Forgive all my sins,
for no one forgives the sins but Thee, and guide me in the best of conduct for none but Thee guideth
anyone (in) good conduct. Remove sins from me, for none else but Thou can remove sins from me.
Here I am at Thy service, and Grace is to Thee and the whole of good is in Thine hand, and one cannot
get nearneststo Thee through evil. My (power as well as existence) is due to Thee (Thine grace) and I
turn to Thee (for supplication). Thou art blessed and Thou art exalted. I seek forgiveness from Thee
and turn to Thee in repentance

Duas for Qawmah

create) afterwards, O You, Who are worthy of praise and glory, the most worthy of what a slave says -
and we are all Your slaves: no one can withhold what You give, or give what You withhold, and riches
cannot avail a wealthy person against You.

O Allah! our Lord, unto Thee be praise that would fill the heavens and the earth and fill that which will
please Thee besides (them). O Allah! purify me with snow, (water of) hail and with cold water; O Allah.
cleanse me from the sins and errors just as a white garment is cleansed from dirt.

‫ض‬ َّ ‫اللَّ ُه َّم َربَّ َنا َل َك ا ْل َح ْم ُد ِم ْل َء‬

O Allah! our Lord! unto Thee be praise that would fill the heavens and the earth
and fill that which will please Thee besides them.

In Tahajjud prayer - after samiallahu liman hamidah , Muhammad (s) would repeat this again and
again for so long:

For my Lord is the praise

O Allah, I seek refuge in Your pleasure from Your wrath, and in Your forgiveness from Your punishment.
I seek refuge in You from You. I cannot praise You enough; You are as You have praised Yourself

O Allah, it is to Thee that I prostrate myself and it is in Thee that I affirm my faith, and I submit to
Thee. My face is submitted before One Who created it, and shaped it, and opened his faculties of
hearing and seeing. Blessed is Allah, the best of Creators
[Sahih Muslim 771a]

 ‫ْت َو بِ َك آ َم ْن ُت َو َل َك َأ ْس َل ْم ُت َس َج َد َو ْج ِهي لِلَّ ِذي َخ َل َق ُه َو َص َّو َر ُه َفَأ ْح َس َن‬ ُ ‫اللَّ ُه َّم َل َك َس َجد‬
‫ُصو َر َت ُه َوشَ َّق َس ْم َع ُه َو َب َص َر ُه َو َت َبا َركَ اللَّ ُه َأ ْح َس ُن ا ْل َخالِ ِق َين‬
O Allah, to Thee I prostrate myself, to Thee I trust, and to Thee I submit myself. My face prostrated
itself before Him Who created it, fashioned it, and fashioned it in the best shape, and brought forth its
hearing and seeing. Blessed is Allah, the best of creators.

O Allah! place light in my heart, light in my hearing, light in my sight, light on my right, light on my left,
light in front of me, light behind me, light above me, light below me, make light for me
[Sahih Muslim 763g]

‫اللَّ ُه َّم ا ْغ ِف ْر لِي َذ ْن ِبي ُكلَّ ُه ِدقَّ ُه َو ِجلَّ ُه َوَأ َّو َل ُه َو ِآخ َر ُه َو َعلاَنِ َي َت ُه َو ِس َّر ُه‬
O Allah. Forgive me for all of my sins, the small and large of them, the first and last of them, the open
and the secret of them.

.‫ َأ ْش َه ُد َأ ْن لاَ ِإ َل َه ِإلا َّ اللَّ ُه َوَأ ْش َه ُد َأ َّن ُم َح َّمدًا َع ْب ُد ُه َو َر ُسولُ ُه‏‬،‫الصالِ ِح َين‬ َّ ‫َع َل ْي َنا َو َع َلى ِع َبا ِد اللَّ ِه‬
 all the best compliments and the prayers and the good things are for Allah. Peace and Allah's Mercy
and Blessings be on you, O Prophet! Peace be on us and on the pious slaves of Allah, I testify that
none has the right to be worshipped but Allah, and I also testify that Muhammad is Allah's slave and
His Apostle.

‫الصالِ ِح َين َأ ْش َه ُد َأ ْن لاَ ِإ َل َه ِإلا َّ اللَّ ُه َوَأ ْش َه ُد َأ َّن ُم َح َّمدًا َع ْب ُد ُه َو َر ُسولُ ُه‬
َّ ‫َو َع َلى ِع َبا ِد اللَّ ِه‬
All services rendered by words, acts of worship and all good things are due to Allah. Peace be upon
you, O Apostle, and Allah's mercy and blessings. Peace be upon us and upon the upright servants of
Allah. I testify that there is no god but Allah, and I testify that Muhammad is His servant and His
Messenger.

Greetings belong to Allah. Pure actions belong to Allah. Good words and prayers belong to Allah.

of Allah who are salihun. I testify that there is no god except Allah. And I testify that Muhammad is His
slave and His messenger.

All the best compliments and the prayers and the good things are for Allah. Peace and Allah's Mercy

has the right to be worshipped but Allah, and I also testify that Muhammad is Allah's slave and His
Apostle.

O Allah! Send Your Mercy on Muhammad and on the family of Muhammad, as You sent Your Mercy on
Abraham and on the family of Abraham, for You are the Most Praise-worthy, the Most Glorious. O
Allah! Send Your Blessings on Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You sent your Blessings
on Abraham and on the family of Abraham, for You are the Most Praise-worthy, the Most Glorious.

Ibrahim's household. Grant favours to Muhammad and the members of his household as Thou didst
grant favours to the members of the household of Ibrahim in the world. Thou art indeed Praiseworthy
and Glorious

Mercy on Abraham's family; and send Your Blessings on Muhammad and on his offspring, as You sent
Your Blessings on Abraham's family, for You are the Most Praiseworthy, the Most Glorious.

O Allah! I have done great injustice to myself and none except You forgives sins, so bestow on me a
forgiveness from You, and Have Mercy on me, You are the Forgiver, the Merciful.

trial of life and death and from the evil of the trial of Masih al-Dajjal" (Antichrist).

O Allah! I seek refuge with You from miserliness, and seek refuge with You from cowardice, and seek
refuge with You from being brought back to geriatric old age, and seek refuge with You from the
afflictions of the world, and seek refuge with You from the punishment of the grave.

Hanzalah bin 'Ali narrated that: Mihjan bin Al-Adra' narrated to him that the Messenger of Allah (‫)ﷺ‬
entered the masjid and there was a man who had almost finished his prayer and he was reciting the
tashahhud.

َّ ‫اللَّ ُه َّم ِإنِّي َأ ْسَألُ َك َيا اللَّ ُه بَِأن ََّك ا ْل َو ِاح ُد الَأ َح ُد‬
‫الص َم ُد الَّ ِذي َل ْم َي ِل ْد َو َل ْم ُيو َل ْد‬
 ‫َو َل ْم َي ُك ْن َل ُه ُك ُف ًوا َأ َح ٌد َأ ْن َت ْغ ِف َر لِي ُذنُو بِي ِإن ََّك َأن َْت ا ْل َغفُو ُر ال َّر ِحي ُم‬
O Allah, I ask of You, O Allah, as You are the One, the Only, the Self-Sufficient Master, Who begets not
nor was He begotten, and there is None equal or comparable to Him, forgive me my sins, for You are
the Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
[Sunan an-Nasa'i 1301]

The Messenger of Allah (‫ )ﷺ‬said: "He has been forgiven," three times.

‫اللَّ ُه َّم ا ْغ ِف ْر لِي َما َق َّد ْم ُت َو َما َأخَّ ْر ُت َو َما َأ ْس َر ْر ُت َو َما َأ ْع َل ْن ُت َو َما َأ ْس َر ْف ُت َو َما َأن َْت َأ ْع َل ُم بِ ِه‬
‫ِمنِّي َأن َْت ا ْل ُم َق ِّد ُم َوَأن َْت ا ْل ُمَؤ ِّخ ُر لاَ ِإ َل َه ِإلا َّ َأن َْت‬
O Allah, forgive me my former and latter sins, what I have kept secret and what I have done openly,
and what I have done extravagance; and what You know better than I do. You are the Advancer, the
Delayer, there is no god but You.

‫اج َع ْل َنا ُهدَا ًة ُم ْه َت ِد َين‬

O Allah, by Your knowledge of the unseen and Your power over creation, keep me alive so long as You
know that living is good for me and cause me to die when You know that death is better for me. O
Allah, cause me to fear You in secret and in public. I ask You to make me true in speech in times of
pleasure and of anger. I ask You to make me moderate in times of wealth and poverty. And I ask You
for everlasting delight and joy that will never cease. I ask You to make me pleased with that which You
have decreed and for an easy life after death. I askYou for the sweetness of looking upon Your face and
a longing to meet You in a manner that does not entail a calamity that will bring about harm or a trial
that will cause deviation. O Allah, beautify us with the adornment of faith and make us among those
who guide and are rightly guided.

O Allah, I seek refuge with You from the punishment of the grave, from the afflictions of the imposter-
Messiah, and from the afflictions of life and death. O Allah, I seek refuge with You from sins and from
debt.
