Note: This Airworthiness Directive (AD) is issued by EASA, acting in accordance with
Regulation (EU) 2018/1139 on behalf of the European Union, its Member States and of the
European third countries that participate in the activities of EASA under Article 129 of that
Regulation.

This AD is issued in accordance with Regulation (EU) 748/2012, Part 21.A.3B. In accordance with Regulation (EU) 1321/2014 Annex I, Part M.A.301,
the continuing airworthiness of an aircraft shall be ensured by accomplishing any applicable ADs. Consequently, no person may operate an aircraft to
which an AD applies, except in accordance with the requirements of that AD, unless otherwise specified by the Agency [Regulation (EU) 1321/2014
Annex I, Part M.A.303] or agreed with the Authority of the State of Registry [Regulation (EU) 2018/1139, Article 71 exemption].

ATA 25 – Equipment / Furnishings – Cabin Seat Pin and Plate – Inspection

Applicability:
Falcon 7X, Falcon 900EX and Falcon 2000EX aeroplanes, all manufacturer serial numbers (MSN).

Definitions:
For the purpose of this AD, the following definitions apply:

The applicable SB: Dassault Service Bulletin (SB) SB 7X-562, SB F900EX-590 and SB F2000EX-479, as
applicable.

Affected seat: Collins Aerospace (formerly B/E Aerospace) UCT cabin seats, having Part Number
(P/N) 3ABF(X)107(XXX), P/N 3ABF(X)207(XXX), P/N 3ABF(X)104(XXX) or P/N 3ABF(X)227(XXX), where
‘X’ can represent any numerical value, except seats that have been modified in accordance with
Collins Aerospace (formerly B/E Aerospace) SB-3ABF0107-25-50 (modification tag indicating
SB-3ABF0107-25-50).

Groups: Group 1 aeroplanes are those that have an affected seat installed. These are known to be,
but not limited to, aeroplanes having an MSN as identified in the applicable SB.

Group 2 aeroplanes are those that do not have an affected seat installed.

Reason:
Dassault Aviation was notified by the seat manufacturer about a manufacturing issue involving
misalignment of a seat pin and plate, deviating from the approved seat design. The identified
misalignment may prevent the recline locking mechanism from properly engaging when the seat is
in the taxi, take-off or landing position.

This condition, if not detected and corrected, could reduce the seat performance under crash loads,
possibly resulting in injury to seat occupants.

To address this potential unsafe condition, Dassault issued the applicable SB to provide inspection
and repair instructions and identified the individual aeroplanes on which the affected seats were
known to be installed.

For the reasons described above, this AD requires a one-time inspection of the affected seats and,
depending on findings, accomplishment of applicable corrective action(s). This AD also prohibits
(re)installation of an affected seat on any aeroplane.

Inspection(s):
(1) For Group 1 aeroplanes: Within the compliance time defined in Table 1 of this AD, as
applicable, inspect each affected seat in accordance with the instructions of the applicable SB.

Corrective Action(s):
(2) If, during the inspection as required by paragraph (1) of this AD, any discrepancy is detected, as
defined in the applicable SB, before next flight, accomplish the applicable corrective action(s) in
accordance with the instructions of the applicable SB, including installation of a modification
tag indicating SB-3ABF0107-25-50 on each seat.

Seat Installation:
(3) Do not install an affected seat on any aeroplane, as required by paragraph (3.1) or (3.2) of this
AD, as applicable.

(3.1) For Group 1 aeroplanes: After installation of a modification tag SB-3ABF0107-25-50 on

each affected seat on the aeroplane as required by paragraph (2) of this AD.

(3.2) For Group 2 aeroplanes: From the effective date of this AD.

The use of later approved revisions of the above-mentioned documents is acceptable for
compliance with the requirements of this AD.

Remarks:
1. If requested and appropriately substantiated, EASA can approve Alternative Methods of
Compliance for this AD.

2. Based on the required actions and the compliance time, EASA have decided to issue a Final AD
with Request for Comments, postponing the public consultation process until after publication.

4. Information about any failures, malfunctions, defects or other occurrences, which may be
similar to the unsafe condition addressed by this AD, and which may occur, or have occurred on
a product, part or appliance not affected by this AD, can be reported to the EU aviation safety
reporting system. This may include reporting on the same or similar components, other than
those covered by the design to which this AD applies, if the same unsafe condition can exist or
may develop on an aircraft with those components installed. Such components may be
installed under an FAA Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA), Supplemental Type Certificate
(STC) or other modification.
