LINEAR
THE EVOLUTION OF BENDING
LineAr features top of the range Schiavi technology. The LineAr press brake
revolutionises the world of bending by eliminating the “cambered” effect
with an internationally patented solution that keeps the top and bottom
tables perfectly horizontal. LineAr is synonymous with speed, excellent
quality and superior bending force. The LineAr range varies from 3 to 12
metres, reaching up to 12000 kN of bending force. Thanks to an innovative,
internationally patented design principle, many LineAr press models can
be customised and installed without foundations despite their large size.

BENEFITS
CROWNING FREE SYSTEM
The upper and lower tables are internationally patented. This patent
protects an innovative system that makes LineAr press brakes the
leader on the market. This entire system, more compact compared
to traditional press brakes, keeps the tables parallel to each
other while preventing their deformation. The result is a perfectly
straight bend without “cambering.” The system consists of three
“sandwich” tables which evenly distribute bending forces along the
upper and lower tool holder tables, ensuring parallelism along the
entire length of the machine.

PRECISE AND “GOOSENECK” CENTRING


The upper table is carried by 4 pairs of bearings that slide on
hardened, rectified steel guides that are integrated with the
machine sides. Table centring and alignment is guaranteed by the
large distance between the upper and lower bearings. Through
the innovative use of an additional “Gooseneck,” it is possible to
accurately measure the distance between the tables, regardless of
the structural deflection typical of the bending process.

HFBX
LARGE-SCALE PRECISION
Schiavi HFBx press brakes represent the most advanced model in automated
bending processes. The HFBx model is an extremely high performance
press brake, characterised by a large stroke (500 mm) and span (up to
1000 mm) between the tables. The wide span between the tables makes
the production of large-sized boxed sections possible while maintaining
a high processing speed. The HFBx has been designed to facilitate the
withdrawal and removal of complex profile parts and is particularly suitable
for robotic solutions. HFBx presses maintain a high production standard
thanks to the high approach speed (≈250 mm/s) and return speed (≈250
mm/s) of the upper table.

BSTS
POWERFUL SIMPLICITY
The BSTs range guarantees safety and flexibility in a competitive
package. The range has been designed for simple and fast bending but
also offers the accuracy and constancy synonymous with the Schiavi
name. Equipped with 4 axes (Y1, Y2, X, R), BSTs models range from 500
kN - 1.2 metres to 1250 kN - 4 metres.

upper table, the lower table automatically corrects and compensates
table deformations, ensuring its parallelism. The distances of the
tools thus remains constant during bending, over the full bending
length, guaranteeing excellent quality end results.

PRECISE CENTRING
The upper table is carried by 4 pairs of bearings that slide on
hardened, rectified steel guides that are integrated with the
machine sides. Table centring and alignment is guaranteed by the
large distance between the upper and lower bearings (E). The two
optical scales are connected to press management electronics,
thus permitting them to control the oil flow by means of the servo-
valves.

SK12: NUMERICAL CONTROL SYSTEM


BSTs presses are equipped with a SK12 computerised numerical
control system with internal microprocessor operation. The SK12
CNC is the compact model of the range and is built with all the
criteria of the latest technological developments. It is the ideal
solution for 4-AXIS (X – R – Y1 – Y2) press brakes. Speed and
ease aid the operator during bending. A 2D automatic bending
sequence search can be installed upon request.

ATLAS is a multi-axis graphic numerical control featuring a modern, ergonomic
design. It is the culmination of over 20 years of hardware and software experience
accumulated by Task84 in the brake press programming industry.

The modern style and compact size of ATLAS NC control make it possible
to use even in small spaces. Its simple, user-friendly graphical interface (GUI)
is displayed on an exceptional 21.5-inch high-resolution LCD screen with an
advanced touch-screen, accurate graphics and innovative 3D functionality.

ATLAS is a real on-board CAM machine: the graphic creation of 2D/3D tools
and parts, the import of 3D parts from CADCAM, and its simulation and real-
time 2D/3D display of all bending phases are just some of its many standard
features.
While ATLAS is an absolutely innovative system, it remains an easy-to-use
numerical control.
Built in a new modular solution, it is able to meet the needs of users wishing to
implement their own customised solution.

As an option, Atlas can be supplied in its Plus version with double monitor. BENDING SYSTEM PRO
The upper monitor displays an interactive guide for the operator through all the
bending steps: profile checks, tooling set-up, bending sequence steps. Bending System Pro is the latest powerful, easy to use Schiavi office software. In
The lower monitor is used by the operator to program the machine. a very short time, it generates the bending sequence, tooling configuration and
the machine program, which can be sent to production via the company server.
Atlas Plus guides the operator during every step of the bending cycle, minimising With the utmost accuracy, Bending System Pro calculates part length based
time and errors. on the shortest edge, minimum radius, and tools. The extremely user-friendly
interface means that the operator can calculate the entire bending sequence in
just a few clicks.
