How to add IP camera with custom protocol

Description

Custom protocol is created by users with RTSP and 554 port. Then, IP cameras can be added to NVR by
custom protocol to get naked stream.

Note: As for Hikvision cameras, the stream paths are as below. It is enough to fill in one kind of them.
Main stream : streaming/channels/101 or ch1/main/av_stream ;
Sub stream : streaming/channels/102 or ch1/sub/av_stream .

Preparation
Cameras, NVRs, Switch, Computer
Note: The methods below are based on the webpage of NVR.

How to create a custom protocol:


Steps:
1. Connect the cameras, NVRs and the computer to the switch. And make sure the network is reachable.
2. Login the webpage of NVR, and go to Configuration->system-> camera Management-> IP Camera,
click Custom Protocol.

3. Select Custom Protocol 1, type in the Protocol Name and Stream Path of Main stream:
streaming/channels/101.

4. Click Sub stream and Enable Stream, then type in the Stream Path of Sub stream: streaming/channels/102.

5. Click OK, so far, the custom protocol is created successfully.

How to add cameras with custom protocol:


Steps:
1. Go to Configuration->system-> camera Management-> IP Camera, and click Add.

2. Type in the IP Camera Address, and choose the Custom 1 protocol which has been created before.
Then fill in the User Name and Password, click OK.

3. Finally, the IP camera is online with Custom 1 successfully.

Note: Management port of custom protocol is 554 port. Hikvision protocol is 8000 port and Onvif protocol is
80 port.
