1. A sand and gravel company needs to supply topsoil to 3 construction projects from 3 farms. The farms have different weekly capacities and it costs different amounts to ship from each farm to each project. The manager needs to determine the lowest cost way to meet all project demands. 2. An assignment problem shows the costs for 4 workers to complete 4 jobs. The least cost method is used to find an initial solution. 3. A transportation problem tableau is given with supply and demand amounts and an initial solution found using the least cost method. 4. Another assignment problem lists the costs for 5 workers to complete 5 jobs. The problem is to find the minimum total cost to assign all jobs.
